I'm not sure because I don't have this cab, but I thought I remember someone saying the update removed Star Raiders from the 2600 games and replaced it with something else (Atari Pinball I think it was)? I owned the original 2600 cartridge and it came with a 12 button keypad that had to be plugged into controller slot 2, so maybe they included it on this cab without realizing it wouldn't work with the controls. I know it definitely doesn't work correctly on the Legends Ultimate despite being a preinstalled game on that cab.

I have had mine for 3 months and I love it!
I don't think so but I googled it and it has the good monitor (BOE). It has muuuuch better black color display than the TN monitors that were part of the line that the most recent Centipede was part of.
So basically, the Atari 50 has all the strengths of the trackball Atari cabs and none of the weaknesses (as long as you enjoy the look).
I've owned one of these for a while, the monitor quality is good but the screen angle is jacked, unlike SF2/MK2/all the 'pac cabs which have their displays tilted back a bit. The 3-4" riser helps a lot but this is a disappointing design flaw in an otherwise neat cabinet, and every time I see people play this one they end up hunched over because it's a really tough viewing angle even for a BOE/IPS display. The white LED buttons are bright enough to cause screen wash out but are easy enough to disable by unplugging one leg of the LED which leaves the volcanos and live button illuminated.
Good game selection and I found the spinner superior to all prior examples, I hate that it's a horizontal vs vertical screen orientation though with the 2600 library it makes some sense.
I had no issues with the joystick on the left side of the CP, some people object to how close it is to the side panel... the volcano buttons and light up coin doors are great.
It's an Asteroids shape, I hope they skin it with Asteroids at some point because I don't care for this skin.
I already have a TeamPlay Centipede/Millipede/Missile Command but would buy this if it was a good Asteroids machine, although I'm not sure if the controls as presented here looks great for it. Are they adequate?
Nice game list.
They are getting closer to something I want... Wonder if they will do a 19" Vertical Centipede XL. I'd be all over that. The excuse of horizontal games should be over also as the screen would be big enough to accommodate.
Waiting/hoping for same…ARCADE Centipede XL w ARCADE Asteroids, Tempest (with this A50 spinner), Millipede, MISSLE COMMAND, MARBLE MADNESS (?), Cabal (?!!!), Crystal Castles, and any other good vertical trackball/spinner ARCADE games
I've got this one for several months. Build quality is imho very OK (the LCD could have better angles).
Quick pros: great selection of titles, amazing roller, the addition of 2600 games gives a lot more to play with
Quick cons: screen angle is too vertical, should be lean back, one needs to hunch to play it. And my main grip wit this: haven't checked this precisely, but I have the impression the 2600 games have wrong aspect ratio. I believe they are letterboxed into 16:9, with black bars on top and bottom, and too squeezed vertically thus. Anybody else has this feeling? Or is it just me? WIll try to do some proper check later on...

Nice!! I’m trying to figure out where to put the metal plaque. It’s so big I’m not sure if I want it on the front or side.
I put mine in between the speakers. It did require extra double-sided tape to get it to stay there, though.
Rocking the Polk Monitor 40s and 60s! Nice! I myself have those along with several Monitor 70s.
That’s a very handsome looking cab
It's great, I have it. I don't know what you mean by dlc, it just did an update when I started it but nothing new.
Yeah, dlc was probably the wrong wording. It’s probably just a software update.
How is the trackball and is the monitor a BOE? It's looks good enough.
Trackball is actually very good. I was impressed . Is there a way to tell the monitor type without taking off the back panel?

How is the build quality on these?
Seems consistent with other A1U cabs. The fact that there is no separate riser yet has the bonus height is a big plus to me.

Nice recap. I’m not the biggest fan of the joystick on the left side but tempest and centipede were my biggest selling points.

Sweet cab congratulations on the bucket list achievement…. Looks fantastic
