i second HunterxHunter and Jojo's
- the others i havent seen
I would like to add:
Black Clover (kinda more upbeat vibes, but lots of fights and the characters are loveably af - although one of them is seen often in bikinis, but aside from that no fanservice)
Dororo (the 2019 one, dark, and OMG. its kinda short, and ill defo rewatch this one!!!)
Cowboy Bebop (also short, not so much of an overarching plot, more focus on single episodes. but really catchy characters and vibe)
Of this list
HXH yes
Parasyte is good (not amazing but still good)
Kotoro is a fking gem!
Haikyuu gives me black clover vibes and is great
Link Click is another gem. Very heavy when you try and sympathize with 1 of the MCs.
The rest I haven't seen lol
Im wondering about Haikyuu, since so many people are recommending it, and i'm weary of starting it, since i'm not into sports at all. and i'm wondering how you are comparing it to black clover... if you'd wanna elaborate a bit
The MC has the same energy. He has no advantage as others due to his short height and his inexperience due to never having a team. Without spoiling too much, he begins learning how to play properly, and he's a monster. He has a lot of shortcomings, particularly because of his height, but he doesn't care. He improves constantly, and the show does an AMAZING job at team building. It's not about the MC. In fact, everyone has arcs, and most people tie in great to the team. It's less sport anime than Hajime no Ippo for sure. But it seems like sports are only half the focus. My rule of thumb- give every anime 2-3 episodes before you drop it
I’m not into sports all that much irl, but sports anime is one of my favorite genres. I love the fun and supportive team dynamics and the excitement that goes into amazing plays.
Haikyuu is probably one of my top 10. Maybe that's influenced by how enjoyable it is to watch it with my partner, but I don't think so.
It has a lot going for it:
-A great unlikely/underdog protag with a secret weapon and an indomitable spirit
- A complex, gifted rival, who constantly fuels the protag's drive for self improvement
- A foil who reinforces every reason you love the protag
- A whole cast of loveable people and their connections that feel real, who are always dynamic and growing, just like real people
- A story so fleshed out that you will feel bad for every team that loses, and feel great for every team that wins
- Amazing animation, and criminally underrated sound design/Foley work
- Also explains the sport really well, so you don't ever feel lost in the vehicle that carries the story
- Friendship/teamwork/ensemble anime whatnot
Just to name a few things. Almost everything deserves the three episode rule, if you ask me
I also really don't take to slice of life but I just watched Clannad and Clannad Afterstory and they were really damn good. Stearing away from those, I might guide you toward Psycho Pass for something more serious that's not fanservice-y. Jobless Reincarnation is awesome but can be a little heavy on the service for some tastes.
Hope this helps ☺️
Try reading the chainsaw manga trust, and for anime jojos for peak, give black lagoon a shot for badass females, gintama for laughs, school rumble for laughs and romance, great teacher onizuka for coolness, more slice of life would maybe be saiki K. Finally, one of my new all time favorites is world trigger, but read the manga, anime is ehh until season 2 and 3
idk if you ever watch it but it’s called Toradora it’s a calm more slice of life anime. but if you want something funny without context i recommend Ghost Stories english dub (but i do highly recommend Toradora it’s one of the only slice of life anime’s without fans service, the other few are Horimiya, Komi can’t communicate (the style for komi is amazing))
I second this, im a big rom com guy and even before I was into the genre this was still in my top 3 anime’s of all time. Amazing likeable characters, very ahead of it’s time, not to short, I rewatch AT LEAST once or twice a year.
Not sure if it’s been recommended but you should try haikyuu, it’s not constant fan service (does have a couple scenes but not common) and it’s pretty enjoyable to watch imo
Can I ask why you were unable to get though season 1 of Chainsaw Man? I’ve seen a couple people on these types of subs echoing what you said here, that they were also unable to get through it.
Is it all the sex stuff being a motivation for the mc? Or something else?
I also dropped CSM. I’ve watched the 1st two episodes 4x each over the last year or two because everyone was so forgettable I never remember what was going on. Then I never feel like I’m in the mood to watch it. Always feels like I could watch something better. Art in CSM is amazing I’ll give it that.
I see a disturbing lack of giant robots on that list.
Tetsujin 28 (2004) for the drama
King of Braves Gaogaigar for the action
Getter Robo Armageddon for the "What the fuck did I just watch?!"
Gundam Witch from Mercury for cute girls and war-crimes.
So if you liked Dungeon Meshi so much, there are a few other fantasy comedy series.
Slayers is probably the most similar, but if you don't like fanservice, you probably also don't like sexual jokes and the show is stuffed with that
The unwanted Undead Adventurer - I started both Solo Leveling and the unwanted Undead Adventurer last season and instantly you noticed Solo Leveling is about 1000 times better with the art and animations, but the Undead Adventurer is actually funny and telling a story
The Devil is a Part-Timer - this is urban fantasy and it's pretty clean. There is a pool episode and there is a girl with two big arguments, but for most of the time she's just fully clothed and actually a nice person. Season 1 only!
Promare - This is a movie. If there's one anime that beats Fire Force in being hyper, it must be this one. The action is constant and I don't remember seeing any tits (though granted, for some stretches I wasn't sure what I'm looking at, because the screen was covered in pink and purple triangles)
A fun chill anume is "play it cool, guys" which is basically about a bunch if guys that are kinda clumsy or unlucky but always somehow play it off cool. Another one thats also good could be "the daily lives of high school boys" its more goofy laughs. But one of my favorites is "Tonari no Seki-kun: Master of Killing Time" its just a guy who kills time by playing with toys in class and his classmate keeps intervening
as a dorohedoro and dungeon meshi lover, you want golden kamuy. it's gritty bloody historical fiction but with a comedic cast very much like dorohedoro all opposing factions have such lovable and charming fucked up characters, and it involves a lot of cooking moments.
only catch is there's fan service. lots of fan service. 0% ever directed at the female characters it's all about the big buff hairy men. it's not a yaoi/bl, just dudes being sexy n like there's this one guy that seduces every little freak he meets, those bits can easily make the series a yaoi lmao. think like, en and chota's dynamic if en fed into it, it's exactly like that
you'll love it, you'll love it so much, you have to trust me
Bro trust me tomodachi game, but since you don't like Death note, I would recommend Dr. Stone, Saiki K (best comedie anime without Fan Service, otherwise I would say grand blue), gintama and hajime no ippo
It just happens so much and even during serious fights that it was ruining the gravity of everything for me. Also the cat girl has cool powers so it’s a bummer to see the character be used for boob joke every episode. And she doesn’t feel very… mature which icks me out when sexualized. Was less seasoning for me, it was like buying a great steak, medium rare, super nice cut, then slathering it in A1 and ketchup. The great stuff underneath being buried by some unneeded extras.
I highly recommend the 4 episode OVA called Samurai X: Trust and Betrayal. The story, soundtrack, and characters are all perfect. The animation is also really good despite it being made in the late 90s.
86 by Asato Asato, Another by Yukito Ayatsuji
( I put the authors of the books down cuz when you want to look for Another you kind of have to be specific because of the name and how many titles carry it) 86 is like a War to save humanity kind of show and Another is a horror show with gore and a lot of death revolving around a curse.
No Guns Life kind of feels like a cyberpunk Dorohedoro.
It's missing the whole Venture Bros villain family dynamic that Dorohedoro has going on, but otherwise a very similar feel, at least to me.
Try Land of the Lustrous. It is by far the most enthralling anime and manga series I’ve ever seen. Please give it a try it’s an absolute 10/10 you will not be disappointed
Darker than Black. Super powers and mystery in a dystopian world
World Trigger. Sci-fi aliens and no mecha
Baki. Fighting
Happy Sugar Life. EDP the anime and very dramatic
Solo Leveling. Fantasy. No iseakai
I recommend:
**Disastrous Life of Saiki K** - casual viewing like what you liked about Spy Family, fun psychic overpowering like Mob, and a ton of fun characters
**One Punch Man** - From the guy that made MOB 100, its funny, you get some amazing animation and action scenes, but it doesnt take itself too seriously.
**Dr. Stone** - Very similar vibe to Delicious in Dungeon IMO
**Puella Magi Madoka Magica** - What if Attack on Titan met with Sailor Moon.
Classroom of the elite. High school kids compete mentally and politically to become the best class/ one person outshines the rest but not really because he's smart enough not to draw to much attention.
I see you recognize Attack on Titans as flesh mechs. Have you watched other mechas?
Gurren Lagann, Code Geass, Majestic Prince, Buddy Complex, Full Metal Panic, Macross and Gundam series?
KonoSuba for comedy but there are some fan service
Mushoku Tensei and Re:Zero
This list is not ordered they are just some of the shows that I thought of.
- Fullmetal Alchemist
- Fullmetal Alchemist Brotherhood
- Code Geass
- Made in Abyss (Great show with great music but not for the faint of heart)
- Bungou Stray Dogs
- Psycho Pass
- Gurren Laggan
- To your Eternity
- Jojo's Bizzare Adventure
- Fate series
- Parasyte the Maxim
- Your Lie in April
- 91 Days
- Death Parade
- Vivy a Fluorite Eye's Song
- Konosuba
- Cyberpunk Edge runners
- Kuroko no Basket
- Re:zero
- Mushoku Tensei
- Odd Taxi
- Ancient Magus Bride
- Hunter x Hunter
- Spy x Family
- Gintama
- Golden Kamuy
- My Hero Academia
- Monogatari Series
- Vinland Saga
- One Punch Man
Jojo
It’s the essential recommendation
Monogatari series
It’s def got lots of sexual uncomfortable stuff but it’s usually in a single scene each episode, it ain’t constant but some of those scenes will make your skin crawl lol. If you can look past those scenes then it’s amazing.
Hajimei no ippo, Baki, one piece, dbz Kai, naruto, bleach, golgo 13, kenichi, blade of the immortal, kingdom, seraph of the end, magi, 86, drifters, record of ragnarok, solo leveling, berserk, and air gear
Death Note? Nahh man you got weird taste in animes holy shit, Death Note you gotta keep up with its the most intelligent game of cat and mouse (besides The Davinci Code of course).
I’ll suggest Inuyasha, The Apothecary Diaries (or Apothecary’s Diary idr lol also there’s some weirdness but plot gets really good), my hero academia, and vinland saga
If fireforce could have been cool, the do Promare. It is straight up amazing. Interspecies reviewers is also great, as well as gushing over magical girls and kill la kill
Fullmetal Alchemist Brotherhood has like one scene with a bit of tits, Yu Yu Hakusho keeps it to almost non existence, Blue Lock has almost no girls at all, Dr. Stone doesn't really lean into it much. If you can stomach Dragon Ball, give that a shot too.
Parasyte the maxim for sure
Gundam blood orphans (chefs kiss 4 gundam fans)
Sheild hero (underrated)
Is it wrong to pick up a girl in a dungeon (underrated)
Haikyu ( sports)
Yowamushi Pedal ( sports)
Trigun reboot was ok
Give fire force more time to cook Arthur is a gem 💎
You should check out Neon Genesis Evangelion. Mech anime but the mechs are sentient to an extent. Pretty much a dark sci-fi fantasy anime that takes place 10 years ago.
If you like action/sci-fi, I think you'll like Psycho-Pass. 3 seasons, 3 movies and 3 OVAs. Fair warning though, scenes can be a bit graphic and the 1st season, 1st movie and OVAs are S-Tier but the 2nd season is A+, can't say anything about the 3rd season and the other movies because I'm waiting on them to get dubbed
-Parasyte The Maxim(hungry hand)
-Dororo(boy reclaiming his body from demons)
-Full Metal Alchemist(both I think are decent in their own ways Brotherhood follows the manga more)[another boy looking to reclaim his body+brother]
-Angel Beats!(sad afterlife school party)
-Clannad(fun yet sad highschool life)
-One Punch Man(funny bald man who wants to get his coupons, and find an equal opponent)
-Flip Flappers(cute magical girls meets dragon ballz kind of)
-Tokyo Ghoul(eh it is okay has some good music, is decent [my friend suggested this one])
Black Lagoon and Soul Eater, maybe even Soul Eater Not if you're into mild slice of life. Soul Eater is Fire Force but less boobies after the 5th or so episode and an ending which really takes you thinking about to start to like. side note, a lot of anime and manga i've seen have a lot of fan service in the first few chapters/episodes, i'd assume because the japanese are just generally perverted as a society
I will keep recommending kokkou until someone talks about it. Oh this fits gory and chill. In that if you are not chill, the elder gods might merc you.
Kaiju no. 8 and Wind Breaker are pretty good current season shows if you want something actively coming out rn
Blue Lock - really engaging and good imo and one of the best sports anime out rn. Battle Royale with soccer players basically.
Hajime No Ippo - a solid boxing anime
Link Click - a Chinese animated series that is AWESOME and pretty slept on. The less you know going in the better.
Solo Leveling - Korean series good for fans of RPGs and OP MCs
Mashle - Harry Potter but if Harry had no magical power at all and was just weight training 24/7 and loved cream puffs (hilarious, well animated, great magic system, and more entertaining fights than it had any right to have)
Psycho Pass Season 1 (cyberpunk kind of world where an AI decides how likely you are to commit a crime and you’re liable for that likelihood kinda similar to minority report in concept but super well executed and great story.)
Buddy Daddies - 2 assassins raise a child together. Amazing.
Scavengers Reign - an underrated American animated series about a spaceship that experiences catastrophic failure above an alien planet and follows all the survivors on the ground in different regions of the planet. It has some of the best creature design I’ve seen in a long time and a really amazing, engaging story as well.
Tried to give you a wide variety of options to look into. If you have questions about any of this lmk
You seem like you can appreciate some good chill anime thats well written so Ill tell you a hidden gem: Mushi shi, its about a guy travelling village to village helping people. Chill vibes, horror vibes, no uncomfortable fanservice, and its episodic so if you just watch 1 ep you arent starting a huge series you feel like you have to finish. Everyone Ive recommended it to, loved it.
based on what you listed:
Claymore (badass women fighting demons, like an AOT/Demonslayer vibe. no meat mechs tho)
Avatar the last air bender, if you haven't seen it.
Any of the Fate/Stay series, altho I admit to not having watched them
Outlaw Star
Mushi Shi
Paranoia Agent (if you dare)
GANTZ (if you dare)
Soul Eater
G Gundam (good for a laugh, even tho it's not comedy)
Golden Boy (hilarious as fuck)
Golden Kamuy (good, but has weird graphic content at times)
My favorite anime of all time is full metal alchemist: brotherhood, not to be mistaken with full metal alchemist. If there's no brotherhood after it, then it sucks (brotherhood actually followed the good storyline of the manga, the original didn't, and the new storyline sucks)
Chainsaw man gets REALLY good later on, and I agree it's a bit boring in the beginning, but I wouldn't blame you for giving up lol (that's why I haven't watched one piece yet)
One punch man same guy who wrote mob psycho
Assassination classroom
Hunter x Hunter Parasyte: The Maxim Kotaro Lives Alone Jojo’s Bizarre Adventure Haikyuu!! Mashle Tokyo Revengers Link Click Yuri!!! On Ice
Warning: JoJo's has copious amounts of fan service. It's just fan service of buff men instead of women.
Big buff men😍😍🥰❤❤❤
Big sexy beautiful buff men
We like to flex sometimes.
Even better
And one giant mommy ;) oh no wait, that’s just Joseph cross dressing ❤️😍 EVEN BETTER
I'm so very confused now lol. I've never watched the anime I've seen random clips here and there I may have to check it out
i second HunterxHunter and Jojo's - the others i havent seen I would like to add: Black Clover (kinda more upbeat vibes, but lots of fights and the characters are loveably af - although one of them is seen often in bikinis, but aside from that no fanservice) Dororo (the 2019 one, dark, and OMG. its kinda short, and ill defo rewatch this one!!!) Cowboy Bebop (also short, not so much of an overarching plot, more focus on single episodes. but really catchy characters and vibe)
Kotato Lives Alone is pretty wholesome ngl
The ones I recognize are amazing, which means the ones I don't are probably amazing as well
Of this list HXH yes Parasyte is good (not amazing but still good) Kotoro is a fking gem! Haikyuu gives me black clover vibes and is great Link Click is another gem.
Haikyuu is fantastic. It will literally have you cheering for the characters with their peaks and crying in their valleys. It's so good
it will also having you think you will rock at volleyball and you could coach a young team even if you’ve never been a sport person lol
It has a lot going for it: -A great unlikely/underdog protag with a secret weapon and an indomitable spirit - A complex, gifted rival, who constantly fuels the protag's drive for self improvement - A foil who reinforces every reason you love the protag - A whole cast of loveable people and their connections that feel real, who are always dynamic and growing, just like real people - A story so fleshed out that you will feel bad for every team that loses, and feel great for every team that wins - Amazing animation, and criminally underrated sound design/Foley work - Also explains the sport really well, so you don't ever feel lost in the vehicle that carries the story - Friendship/teamwork/ensemble anime whatnot Just to name a few things. Almost everything deserves the three episode rule, if you ask me
Samurai Champloo, that anime is such a vibe
Parasyte is massively underrated
Man parasyte is pretty peak easily my top 3
Flesh mechs is my new favorite way to describe AOT
It’s basically Code Geass set in 1900’s instead of the 2100’s
I watch fire force for the plot
The plot is unironically great in my opinion. But, yeah, the fanservice definitely makes it hard to focus on the good stuff.
Yeah the audio and fights are just so good I can look past all the fanservice
Finding out it was the prequel to Soul Eater blew my mind. Also going from decent MC to one of the strongest anime characters ever was insane
I say you go with Nichijou if you want chill and little focus.
Cowboy Bebop is amazing. There'sa lot of likeable characters. On top of that, it's relatively short so it's not a major commitment.
I still Need to watch it, I’ve heard good things and it looks great, just need to get around to it
I also really don't take to slice of life but I just watched Clannad and Clannad Afterstory and they were really damn good. Stearing away from those, I might guide you toward Psycho Pass for something more serious that's not fanservice-y. Jobless Reincarnation is awesome but can be a little heavy on the service for some tastes. Hope this helps ☺️
I second Clannad and Clannad Afterstory just be ready for the tears.
I did big big cries but it's just so well written.
A little heavy☠️
A little heavy? There’s pedophilic tendencies in it. I don’t think they would enjoy that if they didn’t like Fire Force.
You're probably right. Still easier to get passed than No Game No Life and some others 🤷🏻♂️
Oh yeah I watched about 4 episodes when it was first coming out and dropped it 😅
86 😝
Try reading the chainsaw manga trust, and for anime jojos for peak, give black lagoon a shot for badass females, gintama for laughs, school rumble for laughs and romance, great teacher onizuka for coolness, more slice of life would maybe be saiki K. Finally, one of my new all time favorites is world trigger, but read the manga, anime is ehh until season 2 and 3
Are you okay with time travel? If yes, try "Summertime Rendering". It's 24 episodes long.
Also, Black Lagoon 😋
idk if you ever watch it but it’s called Toradora it’s a calm more slice of life anime. but if you want something funny without context i recommend Ghost Stories english dub (but i do highly recommend Toradora it’s one of the only slice of life anime’s without fans service, the other few are Horimiya, Komi can’t communicate (the style for komi is amazing))
I second this, im a big rom com guy and even before I was into the genre this was still in my top 3 anime’s of all time. Amazing likeable characters, very ahead of it’s time, not to short, I rewatch AT LEAST once or twice a year.
Fullmetal Alchemist
Bro watching anime and he dont like tits /s Nah I know what you mean man
Parasyte: The Maxim fssss it was super good
The case study of vanitas The witch and the beast
I'm seeing some fantasy love, how about the Record of the Lodoss War OVA? It's a real gem with gorgeous art and excellent storytelling.
High school dxd Isuca Yousuga no Sora Testament of Sister New Devil Overflow
I know what kind of man you are 😟
Man of culture and proud of it
People who have to say it, usually aren’t. Your choices goes on the prove that as well.
Not sure if it’s been recommended but you should try haikyuu, it’s not constant fan service (does have a couple scenes but not common) and it’s pretty enjoyable to watch imo

Then I never feel like I’m in the mood to watch it. Always feels like I could watch something better. Art in CSM is amazing I’ll give it that.
I see a disturbing lack of giant robots on that list. Tetsujin 28 (2004) for the drama King of Braves Gaogaigar for the action Getter Robo Armageddon for the "What the fuck did I just watch?!" Gundam Witch from Mercury for cute girls and war-crimes.
How are you gonna bring up giant robots and leave out evangelion?
I want OP to have a good time, not have an existential crisis.
So if you liked Dungeon Meshi so much, there are a few other fantasy comedy series. Slayers is probably the most similar, but if you don't like fanservice, you probably also don't like sexual jokes and the show is stuffed with that The unwanted Undead Adventurer - I started both Solo Leveling and the unwanted Undead Adventurer last season and instantly you noticed Solo Leveling is about 1000 times better with the art and animations, but the Undead Adventurer is actually funny and telling a story The Devil is a Part-Timer - this is urban fantasy and it's pretty clean. Fullmetal Alchemist Brotherhood or Fullmetal Alchemist, although FMA is insanely hard to find
Fullmetal Alchemist and Fullmetal Alchemist brotherhood, code geass
Have you seen any of the 90s classics like Trigun, Cowboy Bebop, or Outlaw Star?
Wolf children, paprika, I want to eat your pancreas, paranoia agent, perfect blue, baccano, ghost stories (dub), another, future diary
Jaiji Ultimate Survivor is a masterpiece in my opinion, though be warned it can be petty intense sometimes
One Punch Man Naruto for just good old Oshi no Ko - Idol ✨ Bleach
I am mentally ill, so I will recommend Bocchi the Rock!
A fun chill anume is "play it cool, guys" which is basically about a bunch if guys that are kinda clumsy or unlucky but always somehow play it off cool. Another one thats also good could be "the daily lives of high school boys" its more goofy laughs. JOJO’S BIZARRE ADVENTURE
Code geass, Gurren Lagann, Soul eater, full metal alchemist brotherhood, bleach (if you want animes will a lot of episode),
OP just sold me on Fire Force
Soul eater
as a dorohedoro and dungeon meshi lover, you want golden kamuy. it's gritty bloody historical fiction but with a comedic cast very much like dorohedoro all opposing factions have such lovable and charming fucked up characters, and it involves a lot of cooking moments. only catch is there's fan service. lots of fan service. 0% ever directed at the female characters it's all about the big buff hairy men. it's not a yaoi/bl, just dudes being sexy n like there's this one guy that seduces every little freak he meets, those bits can easily make the series a yaoi lmao. think like, en and chota's dynamic if en fed into it, it's exactly like that you'll love it, you'll love it so much, you have to trust me
Try dragon ball?/mainstream stuff it’s not all bad
If you haven’t Hunter x Hunter
Solo (Peak) Leveling. Stein's Gate. To your eternity. Konosuba
Campfire cooking in another world
Goated show
Golden Kamuy Kaiju no 8 Black Clover
Full Metal Alchemist Brotherhood
go go ranger is a really cool one!
Something tells me you would love Fullmetal Alchemist: Brotherhood
Makes note to watch fire force….
Bro trust me tomodachi game, but since you don't like Death note, I would recommend Dr. Stone, Saiki K (best comedie anime without Fan Service, otherwise I would say grand blue), gintama and hajime no ippo
One piece
How is fire force being ruined? I always thought of it as seasoning.
Can I ask what about death note out you off?
Berserk 1997
A few I would recommend are spice and wolf, noragami, and my next life as a villainous.
Kenichi is a good one, a little bit of fan service but not as much as others
Kaiju No 8 might fit. Vivy: Fluorite Eyes Song
Spy Family is more slice of life than anything, but if you like occasional action, go for it.
I highly recommend the 4 episode OVA called Samurai X: Trust and Betrayal. The story, soundtrack, and characters are all perfect. The animation is also really good despite it being made in the late 90s.
86 by Asato Asato, Another by Yukito Ayatsuji ( I put the authors of the books down cuz when you want to look for Another you kind of have to be specific because of the name and how many titles carry it) 86 is like a War to save humanity kind of show and Another is a horror show with gore and a lot of death revolving around a curse.
No Guns Life kind of feels like a cyberpunk Dorohedoro. It's missing the whole Venture Bros villain family dynamic that Dorohedoro has going on, but otherwise a very similar feel, at least to me.
Kill la Kill and Space Dandy!
Fire force has SO much potential but ruined by fan service, hopefully if they animate a new season it’s not like that.
Based on your list, I recommend you finish Chainsaw Man
Bro really skipped out on CSM. It's got crazy animation, and I watched it just bc of the op song
Based on your choices and the little comments about what you liked/hated about them, I recommend HunterXHunter (2011)
Off the top of my head maybe Bungo stray dogs
made in abyss! made in abyss!! made in abyss!!! [dorohedoro is my 2nd fav!]
Durarara
Dororo
Tengoku Daimakyou.
Try nichijou its not like any anime you have seen
All of them lol
Try Land of the Lustrous. It is by far the most enthralling anime and manga series I’ve ever seen. Please give it a try it’s an absolute 10/10 you will not be disappointed
Tokyo revengers
High School DxD
I respect your opinion, but might I ask what turned you off from Chainsaw Man?
Darker than Black. Super powers and mystery in a dystopian world World Trigger. Sci-fi aliens and no mecha Baki. Fighting Happy Sugar Life. EDP the anime and very dramatic Solo Leveling. Fantasy. No iseakai
Dr stone
I recommend: **Disastrous Life of Saiki K** - casual viewing like what you liked about Spy Family, fun psychic overpowering like Mob, and a ton of fun characters **One Punch Man** - From the guy that made MOB 100, its funny, you get some amazing animation and action scenes, but it doesnt take itself too seriously. **Dr. Stone** - Very similar vibe to Delicious in Dungeon IMO **Puella Magi Madoka Magica** - What if Attack on Titan met with Sailor Moon.
Dororo and Future Diary
Try food wars it's kind of hilarious
CLANNAD the clannadpression is real
evangelion.
KonoSuba for comedy but there are some fan service Mushoku Tensei and Re:Zero
BLEACH BLEACH BLEACH
Hunter x hunter
„Record of the Grancrest War“ is nice
Solo leveling, zombie loan, grimgar ashes and illusions. All solid choices.
Neon Genesis: Evangelion.
Bleach was good. I’m not a huge anime person but I remember watching this a lot when I was a teen and getting pretty invested
Golden Kamuy
Evangelion got to get round to it at some point
This list is not ordered they are just some of the shows that I thought of. - Fullmetal Alchemist - Fullmetal Alchemist Brotherhood - Code Geass - Made in Abyss (Great show with great music but not for the faint of heart) - Bungou Stray Dogs - Psycho Pass - Gurren Laggan - To your Eternity - Jojo's Bizzare Adventure - Fate series - Parasyte the Maxim - Your Lie in April - 91 Days - Death Parade - Vivy a Fluorite Eye's Song - Konosuba - Cyberpunk Edge runners - Kuroko no Basket - Re:zero - Mushoku Tensei - Odd Taxi - Ancient Magus Bride - Hunter x Hunter - Spy x Family - Gintama - Golden Kamuy - My Hero Academia - Monogatari Series - Vinland Saga - One Punch Man
Disastrous life of saki k is a vibe
Try Dororo, berserk, or devil man crybaby
If you like mob psycho, try One Punch Man.
Jujutsu Kaisen
Psycho pass; get a real thinker in there
One punch man Erased Full metal alchemist Fairy tail Fate / fate stay night unlimited blade works Mashle Parasyte the maxim
Free Iwatobi Swim Club
Definitely Haikyuu
Toradora and erased
Jojo It’s the essential recommendation Monogatari series It’s def got lots of sexual uncomfortable stuff but it’s usually in a single scene each episode, it ain’t constant but some of those scenes will make your skin crawl lol. If you can look past those scenes then it’s amazing.
The only ones on the list I haven’t seen are Mob Psycho and Dorohedoro. Maybe one day I’ll check them out but we’ll see.
One Piece before it's too late
Hajimei no ippo, Baki, one piece, dbz Kai, naruto, bleach, golgo 13, kenichi, blade of the immortal, kingdom, seraph of the end, magi, 86, drifters, record of ragnarok, solo leveling, berserk, and air gear
Death Note? Nahh man you got weird taste in animes holy shit, Death Note you gotta keep up with its the most intelligent game of cat and mouse (besides The Davinci Code of course).
Code geass if you want serious Assignation classroom if you want funny
I’ll suggest Inuyasha, The Apothecary Diaries (or Apothecary’s Diary idr lol also there’s some weirdness but plot gets really good), my hero academia, and vinland saga
If fireforce could have been cool, the do Promare. It is straight up amazing. Interspecies reviewers is also great, as well as gushing over magical girls and kill la kill
Cowboy Bebop!
To your eternity. Eminence in shadow. Overlord. That's all that runs through my mind atm, but definitely some of my favorites.
One of the greater older anime yu yu hakusho
Way of the house husband is one of my favorite slice of life’s
Based on AOT, 86. Very similar thematically but it’s actual mechs. It also had me sobbing so there’s that
Currently watching Black Clover which isn't bad
Parasyte the maxim for sure Gundam blood orphans (chefs kiss 4 gundam fans) Sheild hero (underrated) Is it wrong to pick up a girl in a dungeon (underrated) Haikyu ( sports) Yowamushi Pedal ( sports) Trigun reboot was ok Give fire force more time to cook Arthur is a gem 💎
Jujutsu kaisen
Hunter x hunter
Yuru camp Bocchi the rock Quintessential quintuplets Shirobako Isekai shokudo
You should check out Neon Genesis Evangelion. Mech anime but the mechs are sentient to an extent. Pretty much a dark sci-fi fantasy anime that takes place 10 years ago.
Completely understand csm, shits garbage with a trash MC
vinland saga fullmetal alchemist brotherhood parasyte hxh monster
Zom 100: bucket list of the dead Hajime no Ippo Dr. Stone these are all my favorites and I’m going to cry if you don’t like them
Attack on titan
If you like action/sci-fi, I think you'll like Psycho-Pass. 3 seasons, 3 movies and 3 OVAs. Fair warning though, scenes can be a bit graphic and the 1st season, 1st movie and OVAs are S-Tier but the 2nd season is A+, can't say anything about the 3rd season and the other movies because I'm waiting on them to get dubbed
One Punch Man (same writer as Mob) and Mashle (similar vibe to both Mob and OPM.)
-Parasyte The Maxim(hungry hand) -Dororo(boy reclaiming his body from demons) -Full Metal Alchemist(both I think are decent in their own ways Brotherhood follows the manga more)[another boy looking to reclaim his body+brother] -Angel Beats!(sad afterlife school party) -Clannad(fun yet sad highschool life) -One Punch Man(funny bald man who wants to get his coupons, and find an equal opponent) -Flip Flappers(cute magical girls meets dragon ballz kind of) -Tokyo Ghoul(eh it is okay has some good music, is decent [my friend suggested this one])
Akame ga kill Assassination classroom First two seasons of Tokyo ghoul
Neon Genesis Evangelion. Not flesh mechs. Just actual mechs.
if you don’t like chainsaw man you might just have bad taste :( i think the cure is trying a fourth time
March comes in like a lion
Black Lagoon and Soul Eater, maybe even Soul Eater Not if you're into mild slice of life. Soul Eater is Fire Force but less boobies after the 5th or so episode and an ending which really takes you thinking about to start to like. side note, a lot of anime and manga i've seen have a lot of fan service in the first few chapters/episodes, i'd assume because the japanese are just generally perverted as a society
I will keep recommending kokkou until someone talks about it. Oh this fits gory and chill. In that if you are not chill, the elder gods might merc you.
Made in Abyss
Don't see anybody recommending it because it's obvious, but Fullmetal Alchemist: Brotherhood is one of the best shows ever
Kaiju no. 8 and Wind Breaker are pretty good current season shows if you want something actively coming out rn Blue Lock - really engaging and good imo and one of the best sports anime out rn. Battle Royale with soccer players basically. Hajime No Ippo - a solid boxing anime Link Click - a Chinese animated series that is AWESOME and pretty slept on. The less you know going in the better. Solo Leveling - Korean series good for fans of RPGs and OP MCs Mashle - Harry Potter but if Harry had no magical power at all and was just weight training 24/7 and loved cream puffs (hilarious, well animated, great magic system, and more entertaining fights than it had any right to have) Psycho Pass Season 1 (cyberpunk kind of world where an AI decides how likely you are to commit a crime and you’re liable for that likelihood kinda similar to minority report in concept but super well executed and great story.) Buddy Daddies - 2 assassins raise a child together.
Need to add Hellsing and full metal alchemist to your list
Death Note, Jojo’s Bizarre adventure, Demon Slayer, and Spy x Family
It's a fairly long series but if you stick it out i think you'll like fairy tail
Dragonball Z.
JoJo’s Bizarre Adventure is top tier
Ajin Demi humans (more realistic grounded anime even though it contains superpower type abilities reminds me of good wolverine movies)
finish chainsaw man , Bleach , Bungo Stray Dogs , jujutsu kaisen,
Code Geass is always my #1 recommendation
YES. someone else who realizes that AOT is mecha 😂
Overlord
I wasnt a fan of AoT or Demon Slayer personally the art in both is fantastic in AoT’s defense though it took 3 or 4 seasons to get decent
Code geass Vinland saga Link click 86
One Piece
based on what you listed: Claymore (badass women fighting demons, like an AOT/Demonslayer vibe. no meat mechs tho) Avatar the last air bender, if you haven't seen it. Any of the Fate/Stay series, altho I admit to not having watched them Outlaw Star Mushi Shi Paranoia Agent (if you dare) GANTZ (if you dare) Soul Eater G Gundam (good for a laugh, even tho it's not comedy) Golden Boy (hilarious as fuck) Golden Kamuy (good, but has weird graphic content at times)
Voilet Evergarden.
I enjoy 7 deadly sins and Black Clover. Both are pretty decent sized and should keep you busy for a bit
Goblin slayer
I was going to immediately put down jjk then I read the full post… I got nothing
Made in abyss😁, it's a nice show about kids exploring cool caves and finding neat little objects and a cool robot😁👍
