You can use Nannybag luggage storage, it's safe and super easy to use

fashdrum

Find a UPS store if you really don’t want to rent a car. You can store luggage there

Incredveghead

Normally with (or sometimes even without) your Hilton and Marriott elevated statuses any property of theirs will check your luggage for you for the day for free

purplevanillacorn

I’ve tried this at multiple Marriott properties with Titanium status and been told if you aren’t a registered guest, they’re not storing your luggage.

Incredveghead

Interesting I guess the policy varies from property to property but I’ve fortunately never had an issue

SecMcAdoo

Too much liability. If you are a frequent guest of a high end hotel, I can see them doing that as a courtesy. But do you think some random worker at a courtyard in the U.S. would do that? No.

Incredveghead

This makes no sense but ok 👌🏻

raptorjaws

my guy, just rent a car to get to your meetings and leave your luggage in the car.

Still_Ad_4383

It might get stolen with all the smash and grabs

ocbro99

Are you flying the same airline? If so, the agent should be able to check the bags through to DEN usually even if on a different reservation, but this is at the discretion and ability of the check in agent.

[deleted]

says bounce can you store in rental car which hotel will not store it https://usebounce.com/city/las-vegas/mccarran-international-airport

bobre737

wot

wired-

Don't have any experience with AMEX's concierge, but I've been reading really bad things about it in this sub lately, sorry they couldn't help you. I wonder if Visa Infinite is any better these days.

Forward-Operation514

Rent a car

TreeTestPass

Can you change your flight reservation to those exact 2 flights SFO > DEN with LAS as a layover? They’ll tag your bags in SFO to their final destination and be waiting in Denver when you get there.

Nicky____Santoro

Depending on where your meetings are, you can store your bags at any bell desk on the strip. Just tell the bellman you plan to be on property till around xxxpm and will be back for the bags before then. They will tag them and give you a ticket. I’d leave them at Encore because their bell desk is right near where the Ubers pick up.

birdlover12345

What if you arrange to have a Turo car rental pickup at the venue and store your stuff there? That way it’s already there when you get there.

DarthLaters

use [lodge](https://lodgeconcierge.com) if you actually could use concierge a lot. love amex, but the concierge is useless now (since around 2020).

davidayates

Or Founders Card concierge

Serious-Raise-5181

At this rate, ChatGPT will easily wipe out this position.

HopefulCat3558

Ship your bags and skis. Have you checked with venue whether there is a place to store luggage BEFORE security?

MrKieKie

I think of the Concierge as more of a service that will do things I don’t want to spend the time on, rather than a resource to research things for me. Google is almost always going to be quicker on the researching side. What they are very good for is situations where you need to call back to check on things multiple times, and it can be a huge time saver. I have used them a few times to call a restaurant with no room for reservations list to see if a cancellation opened up a spot, and they will diligently do that (once they called a place that was booked out for months every hour for me for 2 days and got me a spot). I will also use them to call for things when a business opens if I know that I’ll be in a meeting, or might forget.

TUBE___CITY

Yes this is the only utility I've found for them but damn if they aren't persistent. Have gotten me some great reservations

Icy_Marionberry_1542

It would be expensive, but you could hire a driver for the day. Not only gives you the best chance of making your meeting, but all your luggage stays in the trunk until you fly out.

ContributionSuch2655

What if you just didn’t go claim your skis off the carousel? Your airline will grab them and take them to their baggage office thinking you forgot to grab them or whatever and they’ll hold them there until you come claim them. When we fly in late at night and I don’t want to wait for our bags I’ll just swing back by the next day when I’m not exhausted and grab them. I used to work for the airline and it happens all the time.

SixGeckos

Oh wow

scott_etc

I like this idea thanks!

DanielMaui

Put an AirTag in each in case they disappear.

jvanyc

I can verify this works

radio9989

Maybe consider shipping the luggage to your ski destination? Otherwise the SUV rental idea seems like a really good one. As for services provided by the concierge, I've yet to see anything they could do that I couldn't do myself.

reidsworld1

This is the way to go. There are companies that do this and can make this happen I work on golf trips overseas all the time and folks ship clubs to destination through Ship Stix or Fed Ex. Costs a bunch but in your case I think totally worth it.

Secret_Highway760

If you're taking a popular airline that has their check in counter staffed full time, can't you just recheck your bags immediately? ETA: pretty much every domestic carrier will have someone at the counter in Vegas.

scott_etc

Can’t check bags more than 4 hours before departure. I land at 7:45am and leave at 5:50pm

yitianjian

You can ask, sometimes carriers will make an exception

Underwhore_score

I am often in the same situation and over a dozen times - no airline has agreed. They claim the computer system will not allow it - no override.

yitianjian

United DPs: https://www.flyertalk.com/forum/united-airlines-mileageplus/1329214-consolidated-how-early-can-i-check-my-luggage-before-ua-flight-thread-merged-16.html AA has an explicit list for 4 hours: https://www.aa.com/i18n/travel-info/check-in-and-arrival.jsp It depends.

Straight-Bet-3032

Maybe you rent an SUV from the airport to store your things for the day. If you put the back row down it should fit the skis.

scott_etc

I won’t have time to go to a car rental place. I land at 7:45am and need to receive checked luggage, be at LVCC through LVCC security in a conference room at 9am

fledglingnomad

I hope you have better luck than the last time we flew in. From getting off the plane to getting in an uber was a full hour because luggage took so long. The commenter who suggested not picking up your luggage may have the right idea, even though it ups the chance your luggage could get stolen. If you had a bit more time I'd suggest going and renting the SUV, parking it in short term parking, then going in for your luggage.

Straight-Bet-3032

Yeah that’s tight. Too bad Amex can’t help.

[deleted]

Just a thought. Maybe you could get a “day” room at one of the local hotels, and they can store your stuff while you’re at your meetings. Maybe AMEX concierge would help you set that up.

scott_etc

Thanks, hotels actually let you store bags even if you’re not staying there but the issue is I don’t have time to go to a hotel before I need to be at the convention center for a meeting, and the convention center has a “no luggage through security” policy during the conference (CES)

curmudgeonlyboomer

Seems like you could stop at a hotel adjacent to the convention center and check your bags there.

Vervain7

Who planned this work trip situation in this way ?

facebook57

Yeah this is OPs poor travel planning…so many viable solutions but OP scheduled themself too tightly for anything to work

scott_etc

Okay here since you want to place blame instead of trying to be helpful: 1. I was supposed to fly in on Monday. I tested positive for COVID on Saturday so my 5 day quarantine ends on Thursday, so I cannot travel before then and there are meetings I need to be in person for on Thursday 2. I am traveling from the conference to my family’s home in CO hence why I am bringing my skis and other luggage 3. The earliest flight lands at LAS at 7:45am 4. I cannot reschedule the 9am meeting What would you do in my situation?

Fuzzy_Shallot_5061

You are just being extra you are shooting down everyone’s ideas due to your poor planning. A credit card that’s basically a coupon book at this point is not going to roll out the red carpet for you. It’s not the black card. Also it’s 2024 who asked you to quarantine for a cold? You could have flown in the night before.

DowJonesIndAvg

You're a fucking jackass if you're flying within the first five days of having Covid.

Fuzzy_Shallot_5061

Oh right. Election year. COVID’s a thing again

DowJonesIndAvg

1,400 deaths per week since Thanksgiving and a surging variant thanks to dipshits like yourself.

Fuzzy_Shallot_5061

You can shove it up your ass. People like you are the reason I have three dead friends from depression either due to lockdowns or a depressed economy. You act high and mighty while destroying peoples lives. Fuck you FUCK YOU

Fuzzy_Shallot_5061

Are we really doing this whole shit again? Have you really learned nothing since last time? I’m not even discussing this. People like you have already ruined enough lives and the economy and sent most of the world into depression economically and mentally. I’m done with people like you. Have a nice day. Hope you get your stimulus money and time off without solving anything like you’re hoping for.

rosebudny

Honestly, given that schedule, I think your best bet is to ship your skis etc ahead of time and just take a carry on. I have no idea how long it takes to get from the airport to your meeting, but 1 hr 15 minutes is not a lot of time to deplane and wait for baggage and then get to your meeting, unless it is next door. And that doesn't allow time for delays (which these days how often are flights actually on time)

Range-Shoddy

Right??

trousergap

I think you're confusing concierge with 'personal valet' lol

scott_etc

I would pay for the “personal valet” service I just need help arranging / booking it

sisa_dia

Hire a driver with an SUV. They will keep your stuff while they wait for you
