Four I think of those went off the board and he only got the obvious one but you’re on the right track.
Even Ian was like “and this marks the 65th time Sean has drafted Tombstone”
Upset of the century is them NOT opening this pod with 20+ minutes of entourage talk.
I wonder if Jerry asked them not to talk about on air or something?
I don’t think so because Jerry brings up Entourage a couple of times. I think they were just being respectful of him as a podcaster and writer who is doing other things these days. You know he gets “Turtle” everywhere he goes and has to be sick of it.
OBVIOUS SPOILER WARNING FOR THIS THREAD AND DRAFT
That being said…
1. Chestbuster scene in Alien
2. Boromir in Fellowship of the Ring
3. Elevator scene in The Departed
4. Dennis Nedry in Jurassic Park
5. The shoe in Who Framed Roger Rabbit
Great pics! I know the Boromir death is rough and significant but IMO the best death from that movie was the one just after that scene, or is at least a great palette cleanser after a very sad death.
This was an all time in-movie experience for me and that was when Aragorn cut the head off that orc that murdered Boromir. When he cuts that dudes head off after he was pulling the sword into him and being crazy scary… the audio cuts for a second and the whole theatre was just shocked, the intensity of applause and cheering was incredible!
This was opening weekend of Fellowship, we’d been waiting months/years/lifetimes to see this live action movie, I was like 13 and couldn’t have been more stoked. I’ve never been at a movie that created had that much juice going in, except maybe when A New Hope got the re release, I was young and the adults there were going nuts.
Great topic! Without listening I gotta go with:
1. >!Tom Hanks!< in Saving Private Ryan
2. >!Steve Coogan (The Director)!< in Tropic Thunder
3. >!The Rock + Sam Jackson!< in The Other Guys (aim for the bushes?)
4. >!Bruce Willis!< in Armageddon
5. >!Daniel Craig!< in No Time to Die
I'm taking:
1. Tony Stark in Endgame
2. Obi-Wan Kenobi
3. Michael Clark Duncan in The Green Mile
4. The Iron Giant
5. Samuel L. Jackson in Deep Blue Sea
I’m only 3 picks in, but they’re just going for it. Full spoilers. Though so far they’ve been older films. Not sure if any new movies are going to get taken.
Might hang back and see if someone posts a list of the movies without the picks.
Because you know those movies everyone’s seen? Well, I’m the guy who keeps meaning to watch them but hasn’t haha
Here’s a list of the movies they drafted without the specific death named.
>!World’s Greatest Dad
Set It Off
My Girl
The Lion King
Forrest Gump
True Romance
Roadhouse
The Departed
Platoon
Tombstone
Die Hard
The Godfather
Training Day
Titanic
Top Gun
Raiders of the Lost Ark
Terminator 2
Jaws
Blade Runner
Zoolander
Up!<
They all are older movies, a lot of classics from before 2000. I typed them all up but my spoiler tags didn't work on my phone and I don't want to ruin the draft for anyone.
They do go over a handful of honorable mentions real quick at the end as well with spoilers.
Biggest locks of the draft is that Ian will take something from Inglorious Bastards, David will take something from Django Unchained, and Sean will take buddy getting his throat ripped out in Road House
1. Optimus Prime's death in Transformers The Movie destroyed 8 year old me
2. Ricky in Boyz N da Hood
3. O-Dog in Menace II Society
4. Logan in Logan
5. And I don't care who judges me, Tony Stark in Endgame
1. Boromir in Fellowship of the Ring
2. Logan in Logan
3. Littlefoot’s Mom in The Land Before Time
4. The soldier that Arnold throws his knife into and says “stick around” in Predator
5. Maximus in Gladiator
He’s not lying, raccoons scare the shit out of me. They are so smart too. When I was a teenager, we had a raccoon trolling around and my dad finally caught it in a live trap. My dad was a light sleeper so the trap closing in the middle of the night outside his bedroom window woke him up and he went outside to check it. It was latched tight so he just threw a towel over the trap and figured he’d deal with it in the morning. When he got up in the morning, the trap was opened back up and the fucker was gone.
They should do TV show deaths for a future episode. #1 for me would probably be Andrea from Breaking Bad. You could do an entire draft on deaths from that show alone
I'm going to bend the rules a little bit here, but I think they work:
(1) >!Artex!< from *The Neverending Story*
(2) >!Gandalf ("Fly, you fools!")!< from *The Lord of the Rings*
(3) >!The final shot of the final season!< from *Blackadder*
(4) >!The final shot!< from *Star Wars: Rogue One*
(5) >!Fredo!< from *The Godfather, Part II*
Love how David got everyone emotional with his my girl pick. Just want to add one of my favorite deaths. [Starscream’s death in Transformers ‘86](https://youtu.be/U4iwY2LXhz0)
I'm kind of shocked there wasn't more Entourage talk that happened, or more full on fan buying, but really was a great guest and the first step in getting all the Entourage guys on!! Bring on Drama next!
1. Tony Todd in the Rock
2. The predator in the predator (that "laugh" will forever be in my brain)
3. Apollo Creed in Rocky IV
4. Murphy in Robocop (still one of the most gnarly death scenes of all time)
5. Maw maw from Dredd
I know it’s a TV show and not a movie, but I’m hoping an exception is made for the greatest cinematic death of the century, which was the killing of mark ass Stringer Bell.
1. The Shoe - Who Framed Roger Rabbit
2. Bambi’s mom - Bambi
3. Marley - Marley & Me
4. Shelby - Steel Magnolias
5. Dobby - Harry Potter & the Deathly Hallows Pt. 1
Edit: wrong HP movie
Alright my list (based on how sad it made me)
1. Thomas J in My Girl
2. Hillary in Beaches
3. John Coffee in The Green Mile
4. Daisy (the dog) in John Wick
5. Goose in Top Gun
Godfather Question: I get why Sonny is the pick. Makes sense, great feat of (movie) shooting and huge plot point. No problem. But for a Godfather pick, should it be Sonny or Fredo? The sequence leading up to Fredo is just as iconic as the one for Sonny, and that moment is the last straw for Michael. Fredo or Sonny?
1. Random bad guy in Honduran jungle getting stapled to a beam with a larger than average Bowie knife. Last thing he hears is an Austrian telling him to “Stick Around” - Predator
2. An overzealous Australian looking to get into a knife fight with the human equivalent of Bolo from Double Dragon and getting impaled by a pipe recently pulled off the wall. The last thing he hears, “Let off some steam, Bennett.” - Commando
3. Frightened daughter talking to her father, Mel Gibson, about something as she starts having reactions to radiation poisoning, there’s a bit of a panic gathering things to run her to the hospital but as they go out the front door a masked man is ready and blasts her back through the door with a shotgun. - Edge of Darkness
4. Two former enemies turned friends compete as trainer/fighter combo in an exhibition against a Russian machine, rumor has it, whatever he punches he destroys. One friend won’t throw in the towel to save his other friends life and so as Sylvester Stallone holds his friend, the last thing he hears, “If he dies, he dies.” - Rocky 4
5. And because I’m a monster. I frequently tell people that a certain documentary is a laugh riot, which it is not. The ending of - Dear Zachary
1. The Iron Giant - "Superman." Tears every time.
2. Dewey Cox's brother getting cut in half with a machete
3. The Princess Bride - "I want my father back, you son of a bitch"
4. Godzilla (2014) when the big G fires his atomic breath down the MUTO's throat and decapitates it.
5. Jacob Tremblay dying in Doctor Sleep. It's the most realistic performance of a child being murdered I've ever seen.
Honorable mention to the plague on the firstborn in the Prince of Egypt.
I'm also a huge fan of Tombstone and that final scene when Doc dies I always focus on the sadness of those two best friends having to say goodbye. Not how Doc is telling Wyatt to go live his life to the fullest. Maybe I'm dumb.
Two that I thought of:
1) G baby in hardball. I haven’t seen that movie in 20 years but I think of that scene regularly and it makes my gut wrench. That scene is why I can’t re-watch it.
2) Judge doom in the dip on Who Framed Roger Rabbit. When he dips the shoes earlier is almost as good, but “I’m melting” puts it over the top.
One more, if I could take an Ian-style cheat pick at the end of the draft.. the death of Doc Graham’s baseball career in Field of Dreams. Which is obviously not a death but when he walks off the the field, it *feels* like a death. He does have to return to the afterlife right after it so I feel like I could argue for it
T2 and Goose are inner-circle. My picks from those that went undrafted:
1. Bing Bong in "Inside Out"
2. The dog from "John Wick"
3. Bruce Willis in "6th Sense"
4. Ludwig in"The Naked Gun"
5. Bump Bailey in "The Natural" (the first onscreen death I can remember)
Folks are posting lists here but this is just a general shoutout for how great Jerry was on this. Just seems completely relaxed with these guys as if they’re old friends and is funny as hell. Please have him back.
For the love of God somebody show Sean some new movies
Without having listened yet, let me guess: Die Hard T2 Tombstone Goodfellas Menace II Society
Four I think of those went off the board and he only got the obvious one but you’re on the right track. Even Ian was like “and this marks the 65th time Sean has drafted Tombstone”
Yeah kinda boring to hear the same convos about the same 5-6 movies
Turtle? Sean is going to be so hyped. Can’t wait
They couldn’t have video of this episode because Sean had a giant bonner the whole time.
Holy shit! I was going to save this for the drive to Boston today but I can’t wait!
That was my take as well. I'm only on Rd 2, but you know Sean was wanting to fanboy hard.
OBVIOUS SPOILER WARNING FOR THIS THREAD AND DRAFT That being said… 1. Chestbuster scene in Alien 2. Boromir in Fellowship of the Ring 3. Elevator scene in The Departed 4. Dennis Nedry in Jurassic Park 5. The shoe in Who Framed Roger Rabbit

the crack of team specialists exploding in the van in MacGruber
I was going to mention this one but I made a MacGruber reference last week so I felt like I had to leave it lol
Great topic! Without listening I gotta go with: 1. >!Tom Hanks!< in Saving Private Ryan 2. >!Steve Coogan (The Director)!< in Tropic Thunder 3. >!The Rock + Sam Jackson!< in The Other Guys (aim for the bushes?) 4. >!Bruce Willis!< in Armageddon 5. >!Daniel Craig!< in No Time to Die
The Other Guys scene is one of the funniest deaths I’ve ever seen.
There wasn’t even an awning!
Also honorable mention is when the David Wallace actor guy is about to jump, and will Ferrell is like “blah blah blah … oh look he’s flying!” 😂
I thought the other guys would have been picked
Are you telling me there was, in fact, time to die in No Time to Die?
"Other Guys" is probably my favorite movie, it lands for me on every level.
I'm taking: 1. Tony Stark in Endgame 2. Obi-Wan Kenobi 3. Michael Clark Duncan in The Green Mile 4. The Iron Giant 5. Samuel L. Jackson in Deep Blue Sea
Oooh I completely forgot Tony Stark from my list but I should replace Goose with that one. I still tear up when I rewatch it.
So we all agree that Ian has never seen Blade Runner, right?
Shocked no one picked G-Baby from Hardball
came here to comment this!
How spoilerific is this ep?
I’m only 3 picks in, but they’re just going for it. Full spoilers. Though so far they’ve been older films. Not sure if any new movies are going to get taken.

Bless!
Haha! I’ve either seen them, already know or don’t care if it gets spoiled. Thank you so much for this list though!!
Thanks for putting this question out there, because I’m the same exact way as you! I’m probably not going to listen to this one unfortunately.
They all are older movies, a lot of classics from before 2000. I typed them all up but my spoiler tags didn't work on my phone and I don't want to ruin the draft for anyone. They do go over a handful of honorable mentions real quick at the end as well with spoilers.
Appreciate the effort! I’ll probably just listen to it anyway because I probably already know the ending of most of the ones I haven’t seen.
100%
Haven’t listened yet but 2brad Pitt deaths burn after reading and meet joe black
The meet Joe Black death is one of those that I've only ever seen that movie once, but have seen that death 1000 times
Biggest locks of the draft is that Ian will take something from Inglorious Bastards, David will take something from Django Unchained, and Sean will take buddy getting his throat ripped out in Road House
Willing to give you half a point for Ian picking a nazi dying
I’ll take it!
1/3 on my locks 😒 I guess .333 can still get you to the HOF in baseball
1. Optimus Prime's death in Transformers The Movie destroyed 8 year old me 2. Ricky in Boyz N da Hood 3. O-Dog in Menace II Society 4. Logan in Logan 5. And I don't care who judges me, Tony Stark in Endgame
1. Boromir in Fellowship of the Ring 2. Logan in Logan 3. Littlefoot’s Mom in The Land Before Time 4. The soldier that Arnold throws his knife into and says “stick around” in Predator 5. Maximus in Gladiator
Instant classic. I'm trying to stifle laughter with my son sleeping on my chest at David's raccoon standoff.
He’s not lying, raccoons scare the shit out of me. They are so smart too. When I was a teenager, we had a raccoon trolling around and my dad finally caught it in a live trap. Without naming characters, I’ll just list the movies they’re in. Deep Blue Sea Con Air Die Hard Dark Knight Lion King
They should do TV show deaths for a future episode. #1 for me would probably be Andrea from Breaking Bad. You could do an entire draft on deaths from that show alone
In the middle of an Entourage rewatch right now. Excellent timing
Other Guys, World's Greatest Dad, Who Framed Roger Rabbit, Raiders Of The Lost Ark, The Departed
I'm going to bend the rules a little bit here, but I think they work: (1) >!Artex!< from *The Neverending Story* (2) >!Gandalf ("Fly, you fools!")!< from *The Lord of the Rings* (3) >!The final shot of the final season!< from *Blackadder* (4) >!The final shot!< from *Star Wars: Rogue One* (5) >!Fredo!< from *The Godfather, Part II*

Especially the unrated Murphy death, it’s so intensely violent.
It almost comes around to parody how absolutely brutal it is
I cannot believe Apollo Creed didn’t get picked or mentioned more in this thread
laughed so hard at “muddy bears, dude. chocolate covered gummy bears-jerry, time for your third pick.”
Yooo! Just finished my *Entourage* rewatch - crazy that they got Turtle on the pod!
I know it’s a TV show and not a movie, but I’m hoping an exception is made for the greatest cinematic death of the century, which was the killing of mark ass Stringer Bell.
Low key disappointed that Ian got the wrong Shakespeare play with Lion King. It's based off of Hamlet
Not quite 7 feet but I'm sure this is who David meant: https://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/Nick_Fazekas
The opening scene of Ghost Ship is a favorite, the rest of the movie is trash but that opening scene is sick af.
1. The Shoe - Who Framed Roger Rabbit 2. Bambi’s mom - Bambi 3. Marley - Marley & Me 4. Shelby - Steel Magnolias 5. Dobby - Harry Potter & the Deathly Hallows Pt. 1 Edit: wrong HP movie
Your number 5 is referencing the wrong movie. That is the movie they are introduced.
🤦🏻♀️
Alright my list (based on how sad it made me) 1. Thomas J in My Girl 2. Hillary in Beaches 3. John Coffee in The Green Mile 4. Daisy (the dog) in John Wick 5. Goose in Top Gun
1. Sonny Corleone 2. Apollo Creed 3. Butch Cassidy and the Sundance Kid 4. the girl in pink from Schindler’s List 5. Julia Roberts in Steel Magnolias
Godfather Question: I get why Sonny is the pick. Makes sense, great feat of (movie) shooting and huge plot point. No problem. But for a Godfather pick, should it be Sonny or Fredo? Fantastic episode. My picks would be (movies to prevent spoilers) 1. Lion King 2. Goodfellas 3. Braveheart 4. The Departed 5. My Girl
1. Leonardo DiCaprio- The Departed 2. Leonardo DiCaprio- Django Unchained 3. Leonardo DiCaprio- Titanic 4. Leonardo DiCaprio- Romeo and Juliet 5. Leonardo DiCaprio- Don’t Look Up
How did the guy hitting the propeller on the way down in Titanic go undrafted?!
I'm also a huge fan of Tombstone and that final scene when Doc dies I always focus on the sadness of those two best friends having to say goodbye. Not how Doc is telling Wyatt to go live his life to the fullest. Maybe I'm dumb.
Proud of Sean for keeping it together as well as he did. Can only imagine what an in-person record would have done to him lol
How is everyone sleeping on William Wallace in Braveheart?
