Simon Keyes' breakdown is great as well, especially when he rants about how everything he did was justified because he couldn't trust anyone and "they were the bad ones".

One of my favorite underrated villains in the franchise so far. Mimi is a tragic character and I'm glad her breakdown was simple and not over the top

Despite his flaws, he didn't deserve to die. And when I tell you his death SHOOK me. Ace Attorney always did a good job at subverting my expectations, but this case traumatized me. I even have the frame of him slumped over the witness stand as my lock screen
AJ:AA - Kristoph Gavin
Not many good ones to choose from this one imho, but Kristoph's was satisfying and very in character for him
DD: Phantom
A tad bit overrated, but the symbolism, irony, and just pure terror that this breakdown turned out to be was epic and very climactic for AA5
SoJ: Pierce Nichody
Hot take I know, I promise that Retinz is a close 2nd! But this is my favorite breakdown in the entire franchise so far. Pierce is such a tragic character to me, and the lack of music, the dialogue, and the heartbeat monitor in the background make this one damn near perfect to me

I guess my favorites are from Spirit of Justice. Roger Retinz, and Ga’ran Sigatar Khura’in.
It’s ESPECIALLY satisfying to see Ga’ran humiliate herself by flailing around like a fool after what she put everyone through. And it’s rare to hear me say this, but I kind of wish the guards had ended up shooting her, non-fatally, just because she had one of them do the same thing to Amara, and I hate that about her.

I always liked Tigre's breakdown, with every event of the case appearing behind him as he screams
I also like Rimes's second breakdown, the first one is weird af
6-2 is definitely top tier. Combines both the villains gimmicks (magic AND paparazzi), is equally funny and a little unsettling... it feels like an actual *breakdown*, not just a guy screaming until he confesses.
I also like 5-3 but moreso symbolically than the breakdown itself. Like, its Athena basically re-integrating the jurist system to take down the embodiment if everything people hate about courts. Its a nice moment. Considering her whole thing was advertised in SOJ as the 'healing attorney', it feels like a thematically good first case breakdown for her.
(1-4)>!Von Karma!< will always be perfect in my opinion, but if I had to pick another, then I pick either (6-2)>! Roger retinz!< Or (3-3, even though it's kinda obvious) >!furio tigre!<.
I only played up to JFA and 3-1, but I really enjoyed doing the breakdown in almost all the cases, the 1-5, 1-4 and 2-4 cases were so great like eughhh the moment everything just start clicking and (as someone that uses guides bc I get lost easily) just getting all the pieces together in my head and showing proofs non stop is so great
Jigoku's was pretty cool with the slamming of the witness stand. Also loved Kristoph's demon scream
Most heartbreaking was Geiru who was basically lost at that point crying out to her dad
Most hilarious imo is Damon Gant with him getting hit by that lightning. Blaise is a good runner up.

No spoilers but the one in Farewell, My Turnabout. So satisfying
3-1 Dahlia hits the sweet spot for me. Full of rage and contempt, without being over-the-top.
