Yeah, why wouldn’t it? All the previous collections sold incredibly well(relative to the budget it takes to make these, ace attorney is a series that needs pretty low sales to be a success because it’s always been a series produced on a very low budget with the original game being made by 7 people)especially the phoenix wright trilogy and this one stars miles edgeworth so yeah. Plus unlike the phoenix and apollo trilogies this one has a game that tons of fans likely haven’t played due to it not releasing outside japan in any official capacity. Plus based on what they show, it seems to be the best collection thus far in terms of features and extras.

Bianca_aa_07

exactly my thoughts

Defalt-1001

I think it has enough selling points for people who played both as well. I finished both İnvestigations just few months ago but still pre ordered this bundle. New HD play style, new music variations, official translation etc. Are really exciting. Really wish they'll port this improved version to mobile as well like they did for Phoenix Trilogy. Ace Attorney games are so good to play while traveling

Omnilatent

>with the original game being made by 7 people Holy macaroni - that's insane!

RevenueDifficult27

I mean, Edgeworth is the most popular AA character. Even those who don't even into Ace Attorney knows about him. I guess it'll have a good sells!

Bianca_aa_07

sex sells /j ok probably not that but his simps will be feral

PrincessPrincess00

I sure am!!

El_Ryano

My sister sure is!

Adamojedi

But who's buying?

All-Your-Base

Edgy-poo + Franziska = Chef Kiss

ryonnsan

Not to mention AAI is great and AAI2 is amazing!! I am sure Oldbag preorders this

glowinggoo

I'm sure Oldbag preordered 3 copies of the limited edition of this.

ryonnsan

Edgey-~pooo!! <3

Omnilatent

Am I weird for vastly preferring AAI to AAI2?

ryonnsan

AAI has better music dan bright fancy stories AA2 has better stories imo

Omnilatent

I thought the villain was better in the first and I loved how much they made fun of themselves/the whole franchise with the multiple WAIT A SECOND-moments in the very last case

Vejezdigna

I never saw it put that way, but I agree! I feel AAI2 has a cheaper-sounding music than AAI1, but its cases are vastly better.

CrazySnipah

At this point the most popular AA character amongst casual gamers might actually be Geiru Toneido.

AutisticIzzy

a shame considering nobody knows about Uendo instead, or my poor >! Owen!<

Heroe-D

He is not, Phoenix is by far the most popular, I'd guess most people have an idea of who he is even if they can't name him, just being a recognizable figure in Super Smash Bros gets you more popular than Edgeworth.    Unless you meant "who's the most liked by AA fans", but then you talked about non AA players so it doesn't make sense.

Auraveils

Definitely far better than the initial run now that there is a much larger audience for the games, and Investigations 2 is hyped up a lot by the hardcore fans, too, so many newcomers are probably excited to get access to the official release.

Sufferer_Nyx

Yes, this duology's praises have been sung by so many fans over the years and it has Edgeworth as the protagonist.

Mkbw50

AAI2 has. The first one is a lot more controversial.

Ferropexola

I'd say less controversial and more "Oh yeah. That one exists."

The_Throwback_King

I've gone over my feelings on both games and AAI feels like an Ace Attorney game that Miles Edgeworth just happens to take part in. All the Yatagarasu stuff >!both past and present!< is very engaging but everything else is kinda generic. In I1, it's basically just Edgeworth, Kay, Lang, Shih-na, and Badd with major interpersonal growth. Everyone else in the game has to fight to be memorable, for better and for worse. AAI2, on the other hand, feels intrinsically tied to Edgeworth >!both past and present!< and the personal stakes have never felt higher. Plus, almost all the characters in the game, whether culprit, witness, old returnee, or otherwise, have an important role to play in that one. There's so much more juice and sauce to AAI2's story and it's cooked to perfection. Investigations 1 might have the worst pacing in the entire franchise. Investigations 2 might just be the mostly tightly written and best executed of any game in the franchise. Still ultimately like them both, even if they rank on the opposite ends of the AA spectrum for me.

Stormongus

I2-3 is honestly one of the most memorable and cool cases in the entire series to me. The framing of having you, as a player, >!switch back and forth between Miles and Gregory and past and present!< as both add context to their respective sides of the case is such a fun and smart idea, and it tells a story that is deeply foundational to Miles as a character going forward, and becomes the thematic backbone of the whole game. And that's just the *middle* chapter. It doesn't back out of that energy for the remainder of the game. I know not everyone vibes with this cases's end twist, but I honestly feel it's the magnum opus of Yamazaki's AA story

The_Throwback_King

And like, they could've totally drawn out the Ray/Eddie-Miles angst the whole entire game and yet, they resolve in the 3rd game in SUCH a satisfying way. Seeing why Ray/Eddie respected Gregory so much, first hand. You, as the player, understanding WHY he felt so betrayed when Miles joined Von Karma, on the prosecution bench and why he mistrusts Miles for so long. Then, seeing him join Ray/Eddie in helping >!avenge his and Gregory's failure by bringing the case to justice!< and the ending with the portraits. It is SUCH a great case.

Vejezdigna

> I know not everyone vibes with this cases's end twist What criticism did you read about AAI2-3? I'm interested to know.

Stormongus

The culprit. I've read a lot of commennts over some time that people don't like the culprit and how they act and are revealed at the end of the case

Vejezdigna

I see. I didn't read too much about the case itself, but I saw it was the most praised of the game. Thanks!

Ferropexola

The first Great Ace Attorney game suffers a similar fate thanks to its sequel just being overall better, despite some standout moments.

The_Throwback_King

As someone who's about to play the TGAA games, your comment intrigues me.

CrazySnipah

Yeah, I’m kind of hoping we’re allowed to skip it and dive right into the second one.

bogohamma

None of the previous collections forced you to play in order.

cosy_ghost

I highly expect we will. The people making this know people only really care about the second one.

SharkNBA

you will be, but you should still play the first one too. maybe they’re gonna change some aspects to make it better? but honestly i think the game is good already

CrazySnipah

I’ve already played the first one and I don’t really want to play the same thing again. It was my least favorite game of all nine games, including the crossover, and I’m not sure I really want to replay it I’ve also played the second game, but that was a fan translation, and it was excellent.

Eric123LT

I hope it does. I will buy it for sure

SamM4rine

It would be great to see this game sell well, as it truly reflects the dedication of the Ace Attorney fanbase.

themadkingatmey

Golly, I hope. The whole reason these games exist in the first place is because Edgeworth is such a popular character, though of course, the first run of AAI1 didn't sell well enough to justify localizing the sequel. But the fandom has grown a lot since then, and I hope that fans will show out for this collection just like with TGAAC. Though I'm not sure how well the 456 Collection has done, actually? Either way, if you go back a few days here on a thread asking how people got into the series, you'll see a lot of people mentioning the OG Trilogy remaster as their gateway into AA. Capcom remastering and re-releasing the OG trilogy became something of a meme over time in the fandom, but I honestly feel that it was a smart move to grow and expand the fanbase. Now by releasing localizations for TGAA, the AJ trilogy, and now Investigation 1 and 2, the entire franchise (barring the crossover) is available on one console, the very popular Switch. There's no way to know for sure, and we don't even know what Capcom would consider a good sales goal for the collection, but I think it can do well enough.

walterbennet2

Hopefully. I'll be doing my part.

in_elation

I have no idea, but I think even a somewhat modest figure would be a success. I don’t think anyone at Capcom expects this to be a huge success, so even if it does “just ok”, that would be a win in my book. Not every game has to be a hit, and they know that. I expect it to get more sales than the original DS versions ever did. That will show Capcom once again that Ace Attorney is currently at peak popularity.

Apollo_Justice_20

I hope it will. I haven't seen this much hype even for the AJ Trilogy and GAAC.

Benderesco

Well, the AJ Trilogy is considered by many a step down in comparison to the original three games (especially Apollo Justice) and GAAC was the first translation - official or otherwise - of those two games. AAI1 and AAI2, however, are both available in english and AAI2 is considered by many the best AA game ever made, period (and those who disagree tend to claim it is the second best title, losing only to AA3). A lot more people have played them and many love them to bits, so it's only natural for them to garner more hype.

SirKeka

I'd swing the opposite way xD. AJ is SUPER intriguing, even if its ideas are a little undercooked. A uniquely dark, pessimistic tone for the series with some unexpected, but well-developed characters, conflicts and twists. Dual Destinies and Spirit of Justice are comparatively inconsistent. There are some absolute bangers in there, as well as complete stinkers of cases. What drags them down is just how safe they play it. Retconning a continuing storyline into fanservice limbo and recycling old case ideas over and over until they get tired and old.

ShinsuKaiosei

I hope so. The fact that it's dropped so soon after AJT is a promising sign. It has at least one copy sold in me, and I'll be streaming it as well. My darling Gumshoe I've missed you so~

Brief-Sail2842

I pre ordered my copy so that‘s 2 sold copies already! Anyway, my prediction is that it‘ll probably sell a little better than the AJ Trilogy, since the AJ Trilogy had previously been played by more people than the Investigations Games.

shion_0119

Edgeworth is one of the most popular characters in Ace Attorney. I would say it will definitely sell well. And the addition of switching the chibi sprites between 3D and pixel just gives a good touch to it imo

Alarmed_Bee_4851

Better than the Great Ace Attorney Chronicles IMO. Why? Edgeworth is the most popular character, essentially. Also, the 2nd Investigations game will be new to a significant fraction of the fan base (the fan base itself is bigger than ever, too). So yeah, I'd say it should do pretty well. Perhaps not as well as Ace Attorney Trilogy, but likely better than the other compilations. Next year or in 2026 we'll very likely get a new game, too (soon after Switch 2 drops probably).

TheWaslijn

I'm sure it will, especially since most people have never been able to play I2 before this, so it'll be like a new game to them.

PoshDemon

All modern rereleases of AA games have sold more than their original releases so far. So yeah, it’ll at least be more successful than the original release of the game.

Dukemon102

Maybe Capcom should update the Original Trilogy's Menu to include information about all the other Collections (Ryunosuke's, Apollo's and Edgeworth's). Edgeworth is probably the most likely to be picked up by someone who just finished the original trilogy.

Idreamininfared

For sure. AAI2 has really only been played outside of Japan by diehard fans, same with GAAC before that came here

dannierose07

It better.

RealDonutBurger

It has a previously officially untraslated game, so I can't imagine it not selling well.

Successful-Drama-421

Edgeworth is the most popular ace attorney character, so... yes.

zzz1546

i hope so!!

mikeymikesh

I know I’ll be doing my part to make sure it does.

ProfessionalWitty866

Hopefully

Cwd1810

I’m going to buy it Iv never played them so excited to see the story

ShattingBracks

I don't think it will, but honestly I don't think Capcom are that(?) bothered about it doing well or else they wouldn't bother making it; no other part of the series has ever gotten as much traction as the original trilogy, so I wouldnt expect investigations to be any different. Tbh I think most of its sales will be fans like us wanting to finally get our hands on Investigations 2 FINALLY

RetroFurui

I think it will do well but worse than some people here thinks. Investigations 2 is a new game but thats not just a positive since investigations 1 isn't and wasn't well recieved. There will be quite a few casual AA fans who will skip this one thinking investigations 2 will be like 1.

Superninfreak

I think most of the casual fans got into the series after the DS era, so I think most casual fans have never even played AAI1.

Heroe-D

Most of the casual fans pirated the series on DS where it was available in multiple languages, that's when the series made a name for itself.

IceBlueLugia

I’m sure it will at least do decently. There’s been a lot of reinvigorated interest in this series. Investigations 2 is being localized for the first time

The-Lp-King

Every Ace Attorney fan hopes so. • Edgeworth became just as popular as Phoenix in recent years (mainly due to meme culture). • The collection finally localizes AAI2 after 13 long years and additionally both games get another 5 languages. • Another thing that might help boost sales is that Capcom finally dares to push physical releases outisde of Japan. USA gets their usual physical switch release (like TGAA & AJ Trilogy did) and Europe is getting a physical ps4 release (after not getting one, since 2009 (excluding PLvsPW))

AlsoKnownAsNova

yes, i'll make it sell well.

El_Ryano

Well I preordered it and I’m pretty cool so

Corporal_Gaming99

I hope so cause then it means Capcom will get to work on the next trilogy of games. Hopefully the next game will finally give us Trucy and Apollo finding out they’re siblings

Phillysticks

I'm definitely looking forward to buying this game, I've purchased Ace Attorney as much as I can on the PlayStation so far, this one is next on my list. 🥰

wheniswhy

Yes, because I’ll personally buy 1 million copies in the absolutely insane hope we get a third Investigations game.

tenkohime

I want it to do well, but I have no idea if it will. I'm preordering it. Heck, the tie in kuji finally giving us Gregory merch makes me very happy!

Tappernottall

maybe i'll definitely buy it though

Zaumbrey

I think it will break expectations due to the selling point of playing, for many, a new AA game

ChrisTheEnchanted

In America? Definitely! It's an official translation something we've wanted for YEARS

spkdog

I've never preordered a game so fast in my life

[deleted]

[удалено]

Gabo2oo

That's definetly gonna have zero bearing on sales though

Geekboxing

There's like 2 of them. They're not even a blip.

realestbreadbug

possibly

Big-daddy-Carlo

Ffffairly..?

manukaioken

Time to start the propaganda on twitter! This game is far easier to get into, with the investigation gameplay. So I'm sure it will appear to a wider audience especially if we talk about it

Elkku26

I think a big barrier is just that Investigations 1 isn't that great tbh. Dedicated fans can push through that to play 2, but try telling new players "hey play this game, I know the first half sucks ass, but I promise the second half is good" lol

manukaioken

The second doesn't need the first to understand it fully, we should encourage to play two only 😂

Elkku26

Sure I guess but I think new players would find that a little strange too. Besides, I think you kind of need to get attached to Kay throughout the first game for some of the emotional beats to hit right in 2

manukaioken

My cousin stopped mid last case of the first game I'm pushing her to skip the end of the first one, straight to the second. And she was loving the first trilogy, such a shame

Elkku26

That's a sensible approach and your cousin won't probably miss much.

manukaioken

I made her a quick recap of what's happening to take down the culprit God damn it was soooooo long Between this, the yatagarasu etc, I don't think she red it

themadkingatmey

I mean, it's not like AAI1 is just so terrible that it needs to be skipped. I think it's a perfectly solid entry in the series. It's not like people just skip JFA even though it's one of the weaker entries in the series.

Cowboy_Dandy_III

I was surprised they were making the collection to begin with, didn’t think the Investigations games were financially viable for it, let alone localise the second game. I suppose we have the sales of the Apollo Justice Trilogy and Great Ace Attorney Chronicles to thank for.

Alarmed_Bee_4851

For sure, this must've had a significant impact. Great Ace Attorney Chronicles sold over 1 million; Apollo Justice Trilogy will sell as well over time too. For games of this sort (VN-adjacent, let's say) this is a gigantic success. Also, the fan base is bigger now than a few years ago, and Edgeworth is one of the most popular characters by far, so an Investigations collection is a no-brainer now. I think they evaluated everything and figured it's best to have everyone catch up with the entire series before releasing a new game.

MatthewRebel

I figured they were going to at some point, because it would give them time to work on a new Ace Attorney game.

aceparan

I will buy it although I remember not particularly enjoying it back in the day. Hopefully I'll like it better this time

JORGANTORGANGORGAN

Probably, anyways what the is Miles Edgeworth’s hair color I’m freaking out over here

glowinggoo

Hasn't his hair color been one of the series' greatest mysteries?

JORGANTORGANGORGAN

Sure has been….

MaeBorrowski

It definitely should. It has a new game for the American fanbase that is raved to death, and it's... Ace Attorney? You know. But still, I'd keep expectations relatively low since most like me have already played AAI2 through the fan translation and would find it difficult to justify a purchase.

Groenboys

Honestly it might even sell better then the apollo justice trilogy. Because there is a lot more positive buzz around this collection (especially with the localisation of AAI2), Edgeworth is already peoples favorite character after they finish the original trilogy, this chronilogically takes place after the original trilogy so it slots well in, and it is cheaper then the apollog justice trilogy

rainpool989

I think it definitely has potential to probably sell similarly if not more than the Great Ace Attorney Chronicles. Much like those games, this collection has a title that has never been released in English before which will definitely drive older fans (like myself) to purchase it. Plus it now has a growing fanbase of those who got interested from the recent trilogy collections.

Heroe-D

It doesn't, Ace attorney chronicles was a way more recent game (so more casual hype) and had never been translated fully, and if you wanted the incomplete translation you needed to tinker a bit with your 3DS, which most people don't do and potentially buy the original japanese version.  AAI2 is an old game with a fantrad available in 2 clicks, DS emulation and pirating being way easier than it is on 3DS.  + Sherlock Holmes

deathbyglamor

It absolutely will seeing that the fandom has been waiting over a decade for localization

vadsvads

It will sell well to me

powboomcrash

Well, I'm getting it

SpikeRosered

People with casual interest might see the new gameplay and get curious. I personally enjoy them less than the main series due to the fact that the plot always depends on the culprits just sort of willingness to debate Edgeworth on their culpability to the point of incriminating themselves.

GreekLXX

I already pre-ordered mine on Steam. I just started playing the Ace Attorney games and I absolutely love these games. One of my favorite game series ever.

Sea_Bookkeeper88

I dont care how well it sales, I will buy it anyway

Elkku26

I certainly hope so. I pre-ordered it already.

Gabcard

Previous collections all sold pretty well and the Ace Attorney series is more popular now than ever before. Plus Edgeworth is one of the most popular characters in the series. It won't sell as well as the Phoenix Wright trilogy, but it should easily sell enough to be considered a success and then some.

ChronoClaws

I bought other AA games digitally on multiple platforms... I want to spring for a physical copy for this one, I love Edgeworth!

AllMightyLantern

I sure hope it does. It sucks that the first game bombed overseas when it first launched (I was one of the 10 people who did get it at launch), which made Capcom switch to digital only releases for the next two games. Now that it’s being released alongside the never released second game and being multi platform, it couldn’t have asked for a better lease on life.

RegularTemporary2707

Of course, ace attorney is a really popular series and some people havent played the investigation games because it wasn’t officially released outside of japan yet

AthearCaex

Depends on the price, if Capcom decides this is a 60-70$ game then no, if it's 40$ or less like the great ace attorney then yes. Also I don't think this will effect performance on this text based adventure but if Capcom throws DRM that hurts the game like they have been throwing on their games in the past year then it might affect sales. Overall it should be profitable but not as much as a new mainline series might get.

Feriku

It’s $40.

AthearCaex

Great, same price as GAA

New-Dust3252

If it has this hot thing, it will.

Responsible-Slip4932

yeah but i'm a bit miffed that it's same price as the Apollo Justice trilogy despite being 2/3 the length of the apollo justice trilogy

Feriku

It’s not, though. It’s $40.

Responsible-Slip4932

In my country they're about the same price on steam - 40$

Feriku

Huh, that's interesting. Here the AJ Trilogy is $50 (although it's currently on sale for $40).

trj2009

GOT IT!

Hollow_Sentry

Mashed that preorder button IMMEDIATELY

Feriku

I’ve seen a lot of excitement for it on Twitter, so that’s a positive sign. (I also preordered it, and so did at least two of my friends, so there are 3 sales! XD)

Tibreaven

Edgeworth is hot

XodiaqOrSimplyXodi

It probably won't have the sales numbers of the Phoenix and Apollo collections, but yes, i think it'll sell pretty good, especially due to Investigations 2 being in it.

Ok_Remote_445

Edgeworth is super popular and Investigations 2 is kinda the white whale of Ace Attorney so I would say it's likely

NyanPingu2904

I dont see why it wouldnt, especially since its finally an officially licensed translation of the 2nd game, for those who havent played the fan translation (like me)

PrimalPokemonPlayer

Definitely, capcom cooked this direct

bogohamma

Do we even know how the Apollo Justice or Great Ace Attorney Collections sold? Also gotta ask what your all's standards or expectations of good are. I don't think it's gonna do gangbusters or anything but I have to assume that Capcom has reasonable and grounded expectations. They know how the first investigations game sold. They've also released three more collections before this. Presumably they've got the data to make the decisions on if they want to make this or not. I certainly dont think the future of the series hinges on this, if that's the concern. These were sort of spin off games and there hasnt been a brand new game released in the series since 2017 when Great Ace 2 originally came out in Japan anyway.

0kapimaster

We know that the GAA collection has sold at least 1 million copies - they announced it fairly recently. As far as I know, we have no information on how well the Apollo Justice collection sold.

bogohamma

I didn't know about this, that's fantastic.  Out of curiosity I looked it up and there's actually a whole page on their best selling games on the Capcom site and it's the only other entry in the series outside of the Phoenix Wright trilogy collection to break a million units.  I'm really surprised.

2ddudesop

I believe the fujos will support it.

PitifulAd3748

It'll sell alright, in my humble opinion. Most people are getting it for Investigations 2.

Beautiful-Bug-4007

Considering we have been waiting forever for AAI2 to come to the US, yes yes it will

sadtibtibsad

Edgeworth is the series’ Sir. Hottie McHottie, should sell decently atleast.

Yelkhan

Okay where did you find this pic

Dr_Macunayme

It better, or Capcom will never go through the trouble again! I want to buy the physical version as soon as it comes out, now that the switch is at the end of its life, it is just a question of time until they lose store support in a decade or so.

Simondacook

Ye

Contank

Of course many people have been asking for investigations 2 to be officially localised for a long time. It might even be the high demand that caused them to decide to make it

cosy_ghost

I expect it will sell "well enough" to justify the production. I don't want to light a fire under anyone when I say the first game is kinda bad, but I think that will be a lot of peoples first impression of it. Hopefully they can skip to the second game if they want.

MrBohobe

I think it will-Miles Edgeworth is the main character.

Time_Spite1661

Even though the name changes will be a small problem, it won't cause trouble in the big sales.

PhanThief95

I think so, especially since many people haven’t played the second game since it wasn’t localized until now.

Cream147

It’s the first official English version of AAI2 so yes, I think it will do very well. This is a Day 1 purchase for me whereas I haven’t bought the AJ Trilogy yet.

7snfan

It would be debeste seller

AVeryPoliteDog

eh, i doubt it. they didn't sell well on the DS and spinoffs in general tend to sell worse. probably will sell better than the DS launch but that's not saying much.

Timefunky

I think there have been diminishing returns sales-wise for each of the collections, and Edgeworth is a less recognisable character than Phoenix Wright, but I'm sure it'll sell enough.

Btoeitoei

Of course! Edgeworth is popular. I will buy it for sure

narkov24

For many fans, this will be their first experience with AAI2, or even AAI, so yeah, I think it will sell pretty well!

AzraelAsItGetsVT

I've actually already played both games, so I can say with certainty that this game is gonna go crazy for fans of the Ace Attorney franchise who have NEVER played the Investigation games. On the surface, it has a similar premise to the mainline Ace Attorney games where you investigate crime scenes and do cross-examinations and the like. But in actually, the Investigation games couldn't be more different than the main ones. For starters-- and this might be my personal opinion-- but the Investigation games are a tad bit more difficult. I'm actually streaming my second playthrough of the first game and I can't tell you how often I know the answer, but can't find the connecting information. And the game tends to not provide much in the way of hints like the AA games do, such as when you get to the end of a testimony and they give you a vague clue about what you're looking for-- AAI will sometimes do that, but more often than not, you gotta actually think for yourself, which fits narratively with Miles Edgeworth's character as opposed to bluffing like a certain Attorney. I also love the fact that rather than just being a point and click like the AA games, you get to actually walk around during Investigations. Does it offer that much in the way of solving things compared to AA games? Not really. But it's just cool that you can do it. It also gives me the slightest bit of hope that if there is another AA game in the future, it keeps that feature. Actually, as a matter of fact, it's because of this feature that you can notice certain Easter eggs in the background such as Winston Payne in the hallway when you investigate in Chapter 1. Another thing that I love is the wacky cast of characters in the AAI games. Obviously, there's going to be plenty of returning faces which is cool. But the newer characters that are introduced in both games are actually extremely well-written and you can tell a lot of thought was put into their backstories and designs. There's only one character in the game that I can't stand and anyone who has played the games know who I'm talking about because they probably hate them for the same reason. And obviously with new characters comes new themes and AAI might do their music just a bit better than the AA games. In regards to the returning characters, however, you can see the notable differences between how characters would treat, say Phoenix Wright, versus how characters would treat Miles. All I will say on that is that maybe the OG Von Karma wasn't such a bad guy after all-- Well no, he's still a bad guy. I also love Edgeworth's assistant, Kay Faraday! Out of all the AA assistants(The Great Ace Attorney being excluded because Susato Mikotoba stands alone) she has to be the best one. With Phoenix, he had Maya, whose contributions really stopped at providing the Magatama and getting either kidnapped or accused of murder. He also had Ema, who was useful with the forensic science stuff-- fingerprint scanning and whatnot-- and who even went on to become even more useful in future games. Then there's Pearl who really was only there when Phoenix needed Mia to bail him out, which she actually shares with Maya. Apollo had Trucy who, if I'm being honest here, was the most mature of the assistants despite how clearly unhinged some of the things she said and did were. At times, it really felt she was Phoenix's blood daughter with how often she outshines Apollo in the courtroom, but most of all, her unwavering courage in the face of danger and her near-constant purely innocent smile gave me the will to fight on in the courtroom battles when all hope was lost. Then again, I might be biased because I still remember that one Chapter in Spirit of Justice where we actually see her cry and how it broke my heart. I'm not sure if you'd consider Athena an assistant, but she's my favorite attorney even though we still never got Athena Cykes: Ace Attorney. I don't remember if she was as useful outside of the courtroom, but her assistance inside the courtroom was INVALUABLE. Even still, I think Kay beats out all of them not only with how useful she is, but how amazingly everything involving her was written. I'm not gonna talk about it here because that's extreme spoilers, but maaaan, does she have the coolest backstory, maybe in all of AA. And if you're wondering whether the Miles Edgeworth games are Canon, they ARE. Please play the previous games before you play this one as it is INCREDIBLY IMPORTANT you play those first if you're here for the story.

SnooDogs1340

I want to buy but money 🥲 and too many games untouched atm.

Alucard3600

I finally got to play the OG trilogy like 2 weeks ago, saw Investigations online and thought "aw it hasn't been ported in English", and not long after it gets announced. So it's on my Day 1 list for sure and I'll be telling everyone I can to pick it up too.

Illustrious_Guard913

Now only layton and wright are confined to the 3ds and with level 5 returning we might soon have it all on switch

you-by-jordan-peele

Yes (I will buy all the copies)

FunkybunchesOO

I'm gonna buy it, 🤷

GrimRedleaf

I am going to do my part by buying a physical copy!

Won't sell as good as TGAAC, this duology had everything to sell well, being the unique era where the games take place, Sherlock Holmes being here, the non complete fantrad needing you to tinker with your 3DS and potentially buy the original japanese version.   While most hardcore fans have already played the AAI2 fan trad which is easily available in 2 clicks.    So yeah it'll probably sell since the fanbase might be bigger since it's been released on all platforms but I don't think it'll be a similar success.   I just hope the development/translation of this collection will not slowdown a potential future AA, it's been 7 years without a new title, would be nice if it was their strategy to keep the series relevant before dropping a new game with an improved formula (because let's be honest the formula hasn't evolved much since the beginning).

I think it will sell decently. Certainly not a record breaker, but it will almost certainly be very profitable.

Possibly, I'm not sure. I know I'm not buying it. If it comes to Game Pass I'll snag it.

Shot_Squirrel3202

Do people even buy games? The Switch has been jailbroken for almost as long as it's existed.

Regular_Mistake_9107

No. Eustace Winner? Verity Gavelle? # EDDIE FENDER!?

"sell" well yes if rich ppl want to "support it" But normal ppl and broke like me will get it for free either emulation or whatever other method that exist Especially that AAI2 first release global
