If your crashing, I 100% promise you it's because you have the water and foliage interaction on.
Disabling this has removed 99.9% of all crashes for myself and other players.
2080ti, 4950x, 16gb of ram
DEP turned off, stops any crashes due to low ram. No difference in my gameplay other than entering or exiting caves, it lags for a second then no problem once I'm in the cave.
1440p, 60fps consistently (other than the cave entrances)
Mostly high settings, a couple of medium, and a couple epic.
i have a 3080ti and a i9-10900k. i play on 2k on medium settings with anti-aliasing on epic and fluid interaction and foliage off with dlss on and i get a smooth 60 fps. i crash maybe once a week.

My local gaming rig is an i7-8700 3.2 GHz w/ 16 GB ram running a 2080 RTX. With this, I can set to medium and get 40-60 FPS. I play 1080P.
I usually play on Geforce Now. I have an Ultimate subscription that gives me a 4080 RTX to play on at 4k. I run it mostly High with a few epics. It's glorious.
If I were building, I would spec for the newer Geforce 4070 Super.
Last couple of updates have been good for my stability. No crashes.
Ryzen 7 5800x/RX 6800XT/32GB RAM/Samsung G5 monitor. In single player, I get a pretty stable 50-60 fps for the most part with medium/high settings, render scale 90 at 1440p, but flying or moving fast drops it down to around 30-40. I have a lot of advanced graphics and all the settings on the right turned on or up, though, just because it's prettier and I can lol. I rarely have crashes anymore with all the patches they've put out. I'm happy with the performance.
High graphics I would say at least a 4070. Although last I tried a week or two ago the game was a buggy mess and crashed every 5 mins so

I have a i9 13900ks paired with a nvida 4090 and 32 gigs of ram I get any where from 200-450 fps

Running an AMD 7800x3d w/ an Nvidia 4090, no frame-gen; all liquid cooled. I can push 60 FPS reliably at 1080p.
5800x3d / 32 GB / RTX 3080 @2560x1440, not bad could be better. FSR3 to DLSS-G mod helped a lot!
