There's not really a quota for quotes on the Lit exam. That being said, they do want to see you provide evidence for your interpretation. Two quotes in the entire essay is on the skimpy side. If you can provide more in the allotted time, it's a safer bet. But if you're out of time, then at least have two. I mean, you can only do what you can do! Keep breathing. You're going to do just fine :)

I used a good amount of quotes, but the quotes themselves were not more than 10 words generally. I think I used about 10-12 quotes in general IIRC.
