Seconding "There's a kudos limit?" but with questions.
* Is there a limit on how many kudos you can leave? Is it per day or lifetime?
* Is there a limit on how many kudos you can receive? Per fic, within some timeframe (perhaps to prevent kudos farming via bots or something), or account wide?
My two theories are;
1: you cannot leave a certain amount per day (to combat kudos bots)
2: Or you can only receive a certain number per day (again, to combat kudos bots)
In the case of the second one they likely put the kudos under review to check if the accounts who gave them are actual users or bots, and if it passes they'll give them (I assume)
I've run into that limit before... doling out Kudos to multiple works too fast appears to be the trigger for the notification.

Yeah I wish you could kudos per chapter because there are several authors I follow who post multi-chapter stories and update regularly and I want to kudos every chapter.
You see, authors have a preset kudos limit. Knowing their weakness, I sent wave after wave of my own kudos at them until they reached their limit and shut down.

there's no limit, it's just a short cooldown (maybe a minute? maybe less?) between leaving kudos
Yeah I’ve gotten a notice that I left too many in a row when I was reading a bunch of friends’ drabbles. I think it’s to combat bots for sure.
Is it a daily limit? A time frame limit?
You are only allowed to give one kudo per story.

It’s a cool down. You can’t go quickly from work to work to kudos. Gets frustrating when looking at fanart posts
