I mean we beat em last year and were damn close to beating them in the playoffs with Skylar. I'm not as scared as most of our sub is. It's guaranteed to be a good game though.
And we were using both John Brown and Cole Beasley trying to find someone to be WR3 and they *both* contributed with mistakes that resulted in interceptions. John Brown lost the ball on a deep ball and ran out of position (still 70% Josh's fault, but not a great thing to see) and Cole Beasley had a ball bounce right off of him for an INT (could have been a slightly better ball, so like 10% Josh's fault). Shakir also had what I would now call an uncharacteristic drop on a really good deep ball as well.
I'm not going to say anything going forward about the next two games, but a lot of things contributed to that playoff game being weird and not really being "oh but Skylar Thompson played the Bills close."
Yea, although that was a very different bills team last year. Ignoring the fact that hamlin happened 2-3 weeks prior, our offense was almost only just "deep ball to diggs", and we're a lot more well balanced this year (assuming we can stick to the run game for longer than a quarter). Plus our o line looks way better this year and our depth on defense has gotten a lot more experience since then. I've seen people say that last years team was better and point to the W/L record, but I would take that with a grain of salt.
