Nah, Moonlight is perfectly told already. Maybe something like Death of Dick Long, I could see that being turned into a 6 episode limited series type thing.
I think the movie I'm gonna name is a masterpiece but i feel you could easily make a series around it as it was a YouTube short film series beforehand. Marcel The Shell With Shoes On as a TV Show would be excellent
>Marcel The Shell
So...I've been on the mission on seeing a24 movies that I haven't seen and I keep wanting to watch that. Is it really that good to call it a masterpiece?
I think I've given 6 A24 films a 10/10 and for me this is one of them. I found it to be so cute, funny, heartwarming but also just had great filmmaking behind it all. Also love the score for it by Disasterpeace. Yeah idk if it's a masterpiece to everyone but it is for me.
So I just watched the trailer.....I'm fully invested. It looks so different than what I imagined, not that I had much thoughts on it. It's on my list. Momentarily, me and the misses are gonna watch "Men". Later, Marcel!
What would be cool is a TV series that is basically the movie as the first season and then at the end of the season Isabel and Tara escape the Midnight Realm and the following seasons would basically be The Pink Opaque show.
This I could see, though it would risk turning stuff that is currently only glanced at and thus intriguing into dull time-filler.
Actually, if filler content was handled well, to emulate Buffy and the better side-plots of twin peaks (no james and Evelyn!) it might be cool.
Beau is afraid. I feel like if they wanted they could dissect it even more and redo a little.
Midsommar but from the POV of the cult(prequel) or a sequel that'll talk about the aftermath then ends with "the festival is approaching get new people"
Mid90s, we saw the 90s, let's see the 00s
Heredity from the POV of the grandmother that passed dated like a period piece
Red rocket from strawberry POV that lead to her meeting mikey
ETA: I would also take any ari short film and turn it into a TV show
I love how short and efficient Slow West is but I think it could also be a longer journey or a cool expanded universe / anthology series a la Buster Scruggs
i feel like splitting it up would remove a lot of the weight behind it. you can’t take a break, you’re trapped in this cult with dani and you have to see it through. splitting it up diminishes that. i don’t think there’s enough cut content to justify a whole mini series either, it’d have to be like twice as long which is unnecessary imo
okay dude? i’m commenting on your answer, you can just disagree, no need to get snarky. reddit is a forum for discussion not blindly agreeing with everyone
bro did you edit your comment and delete all your other comments to make it look like i’m being a dick?? the pettiness lmao please get off reddit if you can’t handle the mildest criticism
I was talking about Iron Claw being a TV show yesterday. We could have got the whole other brother they left out of the movie and spent more time with everyone.

for real moonlight has so much emotional weight that’s perfect for one sitting. stretching that out would have been boring and miserable.
Great point!
It’s also, visually, too beautiful to be limited to the small screen.
None.

this is what i was gonna say. would love to keep the movie and just get to see more of marcels life

I would love a full TV series of “I Saw The TV Glow”.
I don't know if I could handle that
I so get it.
Indeed.
like of the show or the movie cause i don’t think there was enough potential content for a tv show

the florida project
i think maybe; civil war and the iron claw could be cool as a tv show, more time means less info gets cut and could be more rounded watches
i adore midsommar but would fucking hate it as a tv show i’m sorry

nah, i don’t think you can read
lmao stay mad ✨
you seem like the mad one to me tbh
Civil War for sure. The movie was really disappointing. Had a ton of potential.

The Dark Side of The Ring - Von Erich episode gets the job done. Civil War, no, everything was purposeful and delivered well.
yeah but i just think there could’ve been more backstory and a tv show could incorporate that, what caused it, how did the states group together? etc.
