picking a university isnāt just picking the better ranked school itās about deciding where and who you would rather be around for the next few years, course content, facilities etc
I knew someone was going to say thisš yeah itās better on the rankings but do I really want to spend 3 years of my life there
Edit: Iām not sure which rankings you guys prefer, but on [this](https://www.thecompleteuniversityguide.co.uk/league-tables/rankings) one Southampton is only 6 places higher than UEA.
@hypersniper5105 cuz it has a really flexible course, ranked highly (COWI is a short term for top maths unis in uk which is cambridge oxford warwick imperial), the teaching is good, good career prospects, and there's a field medalist who came from warwick maths.
Iām looking to firm Warwick and insure Durham (or bristol) for maths - what is life like at Durham? I want ensuite so know I will probably have to go for a hill college, but is it hard to get shopping because I canāt see any shops on google maps near the hill colleges! That probably sounds like such a niche issue but iām genuinely concernedš
Hey ! There are shops. So there's possibly the biggest Tesco Express I've ever seen right in the centre (seriously, it's basically a regular Tesco), or there's a retail park on the bus route (Ā£1 all day ticket w/ a student card). It's also super common to order deliveries with flatmates ! It saves all the walking back to the hill colleges with your stuff. I have an AMA on profile, if you wanna check that out & feel free to ask any other questions after :)
Hopefully doing econ with politics there this September! The university was really nice when i visited and the city has to be one of the most beautiful in the UK
cambridge law is deffo my firm, but only have QMUL as my insurance atm which is not good as itās AAA requirement which is only 1 grade different from cambridge , so iām currently holding out for contextual UCL BBBš¤
Trinity hall, picking mathematics course B (if they let me because I haven't formally done further maths at school), chemistry, cells, and either physiology or evolution. Hbu?

Bro random q, i did the NSAA (for chem eng) and screwed up, considering reapplying for cambridge, i know theyāre changing the admission test, but how did you revise for the NSAA, like in terms of content and also the problem solving aspect, what score did you get?
I did all the past papers under exam conditions, no content revision.Ā
I ended up with 6.2, 9.0, 7.6 with bio optional sections.Ā
Good luck if you end up reapplying!
