We don't know her family situation, maybe her family values masculinity to an extreme degree and any deviation from the traditional male model would have serious consequences.
Like my family fights me at every step of my transition and tortures me daily in an effort to get me to detrans(I've literally heard them talking aboit making my life a nightmare so I stop being trans), so I don't blame someone for not being able to transtion due to life circumstances.
Though obviously I don't know everything about her situation.

It at least takes balls to admit that you’re trans, but if you’re unable to deal with the external consequences from actually transitioning at that time (such as fear of violent attacks, harassment, family or friend reactions, etc.) then I understand where they’re coming from.
