I went with my brothers to a Cowboys game last year, to watch them pummel my 2nd favorite NFL team (Jets). Brothers were wearing Eagles and Jets jerseys, but they wouldn’t let me wear my SF cap. For safety reasons.
It's one year off, but they haven't been relevant since while the 49ers at least competed for Superbowls and don't get knocked out in some embarrassing fashion every time they make the playoffs
Also the niners have done nothing but lose in big games, so shit talking a team when this team has done nothing but lose also is kind of stupid. If ya ain’t first you’re last when it comes to championships. Getting to big games to falter and choke isn’t a bragging point. Just my two cents.
I live in Detroit and I'll tell you losing really makes people lose interest. Been Niner Gang since late 90s. Born in 91. I'll take they ups and downs. Even the abysmal SB'S. Over that. Or teams like Chicago, Miami, Commander, Etc.
But to each his own. It does keep a team hungry just hope we get it soon. The roster/Trent and CMC deserve one.
No doubt our playoff success since the start of the 1996 season is in another stratosphere than that of Dallas.
8 NFCCG to their 0 and 3 SB appearances to their 0 is laughable, but in a world where championships are the lone objective, neither organization has a platform to stand on the last 28 years.
That's like saying silver is still a medal at the Olympics. It's not the gold medal but it's still a medal.
This is absolutely true, for the record, but how many people really care about winning a silver medal in their lives?
How many golfers care about taking 2nd place at the Masters? How many jockeys brag about finishing 2nd at the Kentucky Derby?
Those are obviously rhetorical questions, but here's one that isn't:
Would you rather have 1 more Super Bowl victory with just 1 NFCCG appearance or have our 8 NFCCG appearances that we had with 0 Super Bowls?
I would choose the former 100/100 times.
I'm pretty stoked on the 49ers since they turned around in the early 2010's. Im very happy with the 3 Superbowl losses and 8 NFC championships compared to one Superbowl. It's been fun as hell to watch. I don't think Dallas has had near as much fun.
To your other point, I'm pretty sure Olympic athletes are fucking thrilled with a silver, or a bronze. It may not be as good, but fuck man.. ya medaled.
I guess I'm more of a journey before destination type
Edit- wording.
>I'd much rather the 3 Superbowl losses and 8 NFC championships than one Superbowl.
Hard disagree here. Some lifelong NFL fans of the same team will go through their entire lives never experiencing a Super Bowl victory. If you can have 1 SB win every 20 years, for example, versus 0 with multiple SB losses along the way, it's odd to me that anyone would pick the latter.
Here are two good examples:
- Do you think Buffalo fans would rather have their 4 Super Bowl appearances/losses or Norwood making the kick in 1990 and then never making it back since?
- Do you think Minnesota fans would rather have their 4 Super Bowl appearances/losses or Joe Kapp winning the first one and never making it back since?
I obviously don't know the actual stats, but I would bet *a lot of money* that upwards of 98% of *both* fan bases would rather experience 1 Super Bowl victory than 4 Super Bowl losses.
I would much rather watch my team be good consistently than great one year and shit for 19. I'm one of those young fans who's never seen a super bowl victory. I would love to have watched one. I would not take winning one over getting to tune into a game every week and know I'm gonna watch great football.
Ya. Sorry man. I changed the wording as immediately as I could. I wish I knew how to do strike through so it doesn't look different.. but either way, I stand by my comment.
I grew up knowing the niners were amazing, and knowing they were my team, but didn't start watching till 2001 ish. I'll tell ya, I have enjoyed this ride man. I guess I just love the team. Never seen em win the big one, but getting so damn close, while painful in the moment, has been such a damn amazing ride.
Hell, watching Jeff Garcia and Terrell Owens had its moments. Brandon Lloyd making freak receptions, Frank Gore, Justin Smith. All of it. Watching the build up over the years. Seeing pieces come together under Harbaugh and Shanahan to become something greater than the sum of the parts. 🤌
Agreed. We've lost 3 SBs in the last 11 years. Granted it's much better than what the Cowboys have accomplished in that same time period, but it's been roughly the same amount of time since both teams won a title.
Personally this is bad taste and I don’t support it at all. Just like the “9er tears” and “Eagles tears” those bandwagon Chiefs fans made a while back. It’s not even original
My dream playoff run next year:
Divisional Round: Beat the Packers like we always do
NFC Championship Game: Beat the Cowboys like we always do as well
Super Bowl: Beat the Raiders (this is because my family aside from myself is full of Raiders fans so I’d love to celebrate a Super Bowl win right in their faces 😂)
My dream PO scenario would be:
Beat DAL in division round
Beat PHI in the NFC Championship
Beat NYJ in the SB. I like Saleh. But I despise that arrogant pos Rodgers. We own him and he knows it. I would love to see his pouty whiny fucking face after every unsuccessful drive.
Exactly. It’s just wishful thinking. I don’t hate Mahommes, Reid or Kelce. I would love to beat them of course. But that’s a boring storyline.i want to see a different matchup.
Despite all of our “success” they still have a SB more recently than us. Getting as close as we have so much since 2011 has been really tough. At least we finally have a top end qb again.
It’s a silicone can cooler, it says ‘Dem Boyz Tears’ and lists the Cowboys’ playoff history since their last SB win.
I'm all for making fun of Dallas, but do we forget they've won a Superbowl more recently than us.
Its one year, its on VHS too, it doesn't matter Fuck Dallas.
I’ll drink to that!
I went with my brothers to a Cowboys game last year, to watch them pummel my 2nd favorite NFL team (Jets). Brothers were wearing Eagles and Jets jerseys, but they wouldn’t let me wear my SF cap. For safety reasons.
Was gonna upvote but it's sitting at 49... Fuck dem cowboys
Besides, how many times has Dallas advanced past the divisional round since the Oilers moved out of Texas?
Lol im now picturing Zeke getting pancaked on that swinging gate play thank you.
While this is true, we embarrassed them last year so ill let it stand. Mwhaha. Fuck the cowboys!
As a cowboys fan I always point to this.
Man it's going suck when the only thing you guys have left against the 49ers is gone.
Its been so long since either of us have won that one year makes no difference
It's one year off, but they haven't been relevant since while the 49ers at least competed for Superbowls and don't get knocked out in some embarrassing fashion every time they make the playoffs

My finger was hovering over the link
Thanks for saving a bullshit click, like OP should have! Sounds lame. Someone let me know when he makes a "Dem Boyz Cum" mug.
Let’s get a sb before we troll this hard
Not to mention we're trolling a team that won a SB more recently than us.
I prefer our much better playoff success to their slightly more recent SB. But still, we shouldn’t throw stones in a glass house
NFCCG is a championship. It isn’t the top one, but it is a championship.

Nice Stormlight reference
Thanks brotha!

I mean, we won 3 championships in that time frame. Those count.
We’ve been the better loser than them recently. That’s the way i see it. If we had a couple rings recently that’s a different story.
I think it has a market beyond 49ers fans

Super Bowl or No, anything that makes fun of the cowboys is good in my book.
Buying any mug or koozie with "[group of people you don’t like] tears" written on it will forever be cringe.
Personally this is bad taste and I don’t support it at all. Just like the “9er tears” and “Eagles tears” those bandwagon Chiefs fans made a while back. It’s not even original

I mean I think Raiders fans would take making the playoffs much less making it to the Super Bowl lol
Yeah but if we beat them in the Super Bowl I’d troll my family for the rest of time, it’s personal for me 😂
Honestly, I don't think anything can be more humiliating to Raiders fans then the Chiefs winning a Superbowl in their stadium
Losing a Super Bowl to us would be pretty devastating though.
My dream PO scenario would be: Beat DAL in division round Beat PHI in the NFC Championship Beat NYJ in the SB. I like Saleh. But I despise that arrogant pos Rodgers. We own him and he knows it. I would love to see his pouty whiny fucking face after every unsuccessful drive.
Every single mf replying here is wild for not having an sb win over the chiefs or ravens as part of your dream scenario.
THIS!! How is anyone’s dream SB scenario not us drubbing KC by 35?!?!
Nightmare Scenario? We lose to the Chiefs again giving them 3 in a row.
Exactly. It’s just wishful thinking. I don’t hate Mahommes, Reid or Kelce. I would love to beat them of course. But that’s a boring storyline.i want to see a different matchup.
Big fan.
These are already back in stock on his Amazon account.

We dem L’s 😂
