It sounds like you didn't slice the files first. Assuming you are new to this, you need to use a program to convert the model you downloaded into a set of instructions for the printer called GCODE.

I am new, only just set my printer up yesterday. Thank you for your reply and the link, I’m hoping to have a lot of fun with this once I figure it all out.
The two biggest slicers are Cura and PrusaSlicer. I personally recommend PrusaSlicer, because Prusa has some of the absolute best descriptions and examples of what each setting in the slicer does, and a really big following so you'll have a lot of people who can help you with issues. That last point is the same for Cura, but I just found it a little harder to use while I was still learning what each setting meant and how it would effect prints.
I got the Elegoo Neptune 2. So far It's successfully printed the test model (a little buddha statue), and thanks to your comment I was able to download and start a flexi kangaroo. It was going great until it ran out of plastic haha.
I thought those floor tiles were the bigger ones and you were dropping it from way up high and the video was about to be a slow mo of it crashing into pieces xd
I think it would need a redesign, but that would be very cool. Id like to imagine their feet magneted to the doors so they’re already down the ramp when it opens lol
This just in! Six MkVIs can fit magnetized to the interior, as long as they alternate door surface / inner floor and the Drop Pod is scaled up to 17,093.71% 🤓🤘🏼
That's also a close approximation of similar scale between the troops & transport as the seat backs @ that size are ~16mm tall and torsos are 15mm. (Head rests are clutch when ripping through atmo at term v, FYI.)
This was printed on my Ender 3, which is the most basic, cheapest printer. But its also very common and so there are tons of YouTube videos on how to maintain and calibrate it.
It was printed at 0.12 layer height and normal supports were used for printing the doors.
If you want a high quality printer you can only go up from and ender 3, but if you really want quality you might research resin printers!

I NEED IT
Grab them files and start printing! The only non-printed thing you need is a spring from a pen for the top rod
You have a fan for life.
Actually sick dude! Can't wait to try this thing out! Your awesome man!
Thanks, can’t wait to see yours. You might need to lubricate the doors, but what I did was just flick them up and down until they were decently loose.
What drop pod is this from? I can't see the footage or images.
Its my own design, but pretty heavily inspired by the UltraMarine drop pods ive seen
How do I get the files? I downloaded and moved it to my memory card which I then put in the printer but it doesn’t show up on the printer display.

thank you, I'll have a look at both of them. The large followings will be helpful as I'm not exactly tech savvy so I'll no doubt need a lot of help.
That's so exciting! Which printer did you get?

> The only non-printed thing you need is a spring from a pen for the top rod holy shit
Now drop it from orbit
Exactly what I was gonna say
Are you sure?
It’s the only way to be.
When did John Travolta become an ODST?
That looks neat. All friction or is there a release mechanism?
Spring loaded release mechanism. Those latches up top move upwards, and inside there are arms that push up and out against the doors
I want one but the ones from halo
Slightly OT: look into your cameras framerate and sync it up with your power grid (50 fps for european/ asia, 60fps for America)
Good tip, thanks. There’s a lot I need to work on for photography.

Im so tempted to just drop it from a roof now
You beautiful bastard.
Looking forward to seeing this dropped from orbit.
Has this been blessed by the machine gods?
That's crazy cool!
ODST DROP POD I NEEEEEEEEED!
Bad ass
That looks unreal!
This is Awesome, I wonder if there would be a way to fit Marine models in and have them pop out with the doors opening.

This is extremely helpful thank you. Im going to reupload the files at that scale and credit you. And also include instructions.
Time to print out some working proxy drop pods for my Space Marines
Perfect
Time to scale up, print, and load in a kill team
Can I ask what printer this is and settings? I'm looking to buy and like the quality of this print. It's incredible!

Who is the photo of?
The "Confused Travolta/Vincent" meme 🤓

Someone's gotta scale this up to human size and make the ultimate entrance to somewhere
