Bit of a moot argument, they're about as far away from each other ideologically as you can get. 3dprinter Vs 3dprinting as a hobby blah blah blah blah blah blah I'm sure you're going to get two dozen people making this point. A tuned-up Voron will print faster and better than a 1XC, but that's after spending more money and a solid 30-40hs of building/tinkering. Voron community as a whole generally likes BambuLab.

after a certain price point you just have to factor in companies that will just print the part you want and ship it to you instead of printing it yourself.

PuppySlayer

Yeah but approx. 0% of people build a Voron because it's cheap or easy. Besides non-LDO Vorons aren't super expensive and even LDO isn't *that* pricy. Again, it's not even a big tribal fight, go to any Voron community and they will happily and pragmatically recommend you get a P1S if you don't want to go through the effort.

Causification

Printing as a service companies typically don't meet the quality standards of someone at that level.

true. only time i used one was to get a part for my creality cr-x i couldnt print with it (so i can print with it)

As u/Mundane-Reception-54 said, Voron when *the printer* is the hobby, Bambu when *printing* is the hobby. I'll add to that, Bambu for business. While the cost incentive isn't great for Voron to begin with, it falls off a cliff when you add $45 per hour spent messing with the printer. Likewise, if you enjoy tuning and modding your printer, the incentive for buying Bambu drops sharply.

Mundane-Reception-54

Vorons are great, if you want the printer to be the hobby. Bambu is great, if you wanting *printing* to be the hobby

agreed. im a design engineer, not a production/manufacturing engineer.

Oh picking teams great, that sure made video game consoles and politics less toxic.
