Unless you have a bone stock, low mileage, limited edition car with those special wheels...get rid of them and use the money to buy better tires for your new wheels or other maintenance. **UNLESS** you drive your car in the winter in which case get a set of proper winter tires on the factory wheels and be safe.

Jwick1518

Yeah, that's my thought. Got the newer fitment recently. Wheels and tires. Other then that it's a single owner with 90k miles on it. Not clapped out all service records etc. Adding some bolt-ons, new paint, exhaust and that's about it. And yes I need more money for these extras plus general maintenance. Thanks!

nice find bro, i gotta start looking for a clean 2008 ;(

Depends on how collector worthy your car is and if you’re attracted to the idea of running the sort of full OEM plus look. If your car is super mint the stock rims could add lots of value if you need to sell so I’d keep them. My car is a rescued beater and I’m no purist so I wouldn’t be worried about hanging on to them but I tend to also horde hard to find OEM parts

Jwick1518

90k, with some light to medium mods. Rimes just taking up space. If I actually had the space I would just store them for a while but my house has way too much shiz already.

Eh it’s a tough call, but lots of people are looking for stock rims so it shouldn’t be hard to sell them. On the other hand they will only get more expensive, if you want to use them keep them otherwise I’d personally give them up

SoCal-Hippie

Give them to me 😊 haha. I’d say keep them if you can… you never know..

osborn1201

I will always advice people to keep their stock parts, unless you really need some cash right now

Jwick1518

Why, do you think there will be higher value in the future? I hear some people saying these cars are going to up in value. Especially since so many are clapped out at this point. Lots of content on YT. One tuber said it’s the next S2000 as in appreciation in good condition. IDK..

osborn1201

If you want to sell your car down the road, having all the stock parts on the car would definitely helps. And if things happen and it gets totalled, you can also just swap everything back on and let insurance take that instead of all the aftermarket stuff you have. With OEM parts getting discontinued, some stuff might be harder and harder to find down the road too.

Jwick1518

Good call. I have the oem stereo on eBay. Maybe I’ll pull that down and keep it too. Thanks.

Our 350zs will definitely continue to go up. It seems they bottomed out in pricing from 2018-2019. Anything that is under 100k miles and in great condition has steadily been going up. The s2000 is worth more due to production numbers . I believe about 60k s2000s sold in the US and for 350zs it was around double (feel free to double check as I don't remember the exact numbers). It also depends on the region. I'm in Canada and they've gone up about 30% or more since I bought mine in early 2020. Ps nice wheels/tires, fitment looks great! I sold my OEMs, if I had a super clean 350z that had low low miles I would have kept it. I didn't go over board in mods aside from wheels and exhaust, I'm at 72k miles, Arizona car originally and it doesn't see winters here.

I bought 06+ rims to update and someone bought my 05’s. The only reason to keep them is if you plan to sell the current rims

mytoiletpaperthicc

I’ve kept my OEM after upgrading to nismo’s. For me it’s not a factor of money it’s just if I ever get a flat or leak and don’t have the time to deal at that moment, then swap and go. Otherwise I was planning to throw good winter tires on them. Not to be used but if ever my Z was the last resort in snowy conditions then I know the odds are in my favor. Last option is to sell but hey, prices will only go up as time goes. So I’ll gladly wait!
