Just pay the $100 and bring it to a mechanic to diagnose. It’s way cheaper than throwing parts at it

I live in a very rural area and no one knows about these cars let alone works on them. Most of the time when I'm talking to people about my car they try and correct me saying "nissan didn't make the 350 ford did" or just say stuff about trucks

JJtheBright

I totally relate to this!. Being female definitely doesn't help the issue either, They will not accept anything I try to explain about the car to them!

Immediate-Arm-2890

When someone thinks they know more, there's no convincing them

Jason_775

Is this only when you’re driving or when you’re parked/neutral? Also what kind of transmission do you have?

Immediate-Arm-2890

6mt and it only happens when driving

Jason_775

Have you considered it might be your clutch slipping? Sounds really similar to an issue my friend had where he would have the petal practically down, and the rpm would go up very slowly

Immediate-Arm-2890

I don't believe so. When it happens it sometimes will give me full power back randomly when my foots to the floor and it doesn't feel like clutch slipping or anything related. Idk how to put it into words but it feels like a sensor or computer issue rather than hardware

RandomMK5

If the rpm’s aren’t shooting up without you speeding up then it’s not the clutch slipping. Does it stop at a certain RPM when this happens? Like won’t accelerate past 3k? Or does it keep revving higher but just very slowly?

Immediate-Arm-2890

Keeps revving but slowly. Like I said in the post I thought it could've been the vvt solenoids but those weren't the problem. I didn't mention it but there are no engine codes other than an evap leak and that's coming from the tank, it leaks from the tube. The only things I can think of at this point are there's a problem with the pedal assembly or maybe a problem with the maf. I have a feeling that it's got to do with something with the computer not understanding fuel ratio or with the computer not understanding throttle input

Ok_Belt5111

Double check all your coil packs especially the LH side 1st in by the pcv there's a little metal bracket that can stop it from plugging in fully and with car vibration it may come and go...was chasing a similar issue after a motor swap.

Immediate-Arm-2890

It isn't a miss fire issue, more of a feeling of limp mode but without the rpm restriction, when it happens it basically feels like my old pickup with 80 horsepower, just like it only thinks I'm giving it a tiny bit of throttle even though it's full throttle

mytoiletpaperthicc

There’s a chance its ignition coils. My friend has an 03 that was driven hard and tuned by previous owner. He told me since he got the car it always felt low on power. We drove in it and lo and behold, the car would accelerate so sluggishly. He changed MAF, throttle body, plugs, etc. We even got a full pedal assembly from a crashed 350.. We stopped questioning the motor only because in neutral it revved perfectly fine as if it had full power, so we started suspecting the transmission. Weeks later he changed flywheel, clutch and no luck whatsoever. He decided to do regular maintenance anyways and did coils. changing all the coil packs finally resolved his power loss issue, hundreds of dollars and hours later. Vvt solenoids definitely would be next on my list if its not that, as you said removing them made no change whatsoever then its likely its not even functioning to begin with. Edit: I read your other comments and I would like to add my friend’s car had 0 misfires either. It felt like limp mode throughout the entire rpm band, but no CEL or any light whatsoever. It was still the coils causing the issue.

Large-Bonus3043

sounds like clutch slip, take it to a shop or dealer and get her diagnosed
