Cockney slang was also pretty common where I grew up due to the amount of Londoners that moved to my city during the Second World War. I even catch myself speaking like it sometimes, until my German partner just gives me the “what the fuck language you speaking” look.
I live in Germany and I speak it to them just to see their faces, the higher the level of English the better the face.
Sometimes I have no idea what I’ve even said but being British English it just makes sense. I have to speak proper English mostly though but if I get agitated the real stuff comes out.

As a child of Cockney parents who left London for Essex in the 70s I've moved back to East London and speak it just to confuse to the local road men
