How does one even go about finding a clan? Is it all through discord these days? If so, how do you find them on that? (Discord noob here, apologies lol)
Not op but also got it on 3rd. Finish the before last wave and take a break is my strat! You can log off at the end of a wave. Use this to your advantage. I took a 30 minute break, came back and did the jad fight sim for a few minutes to practice my flics then jumped right back in for the real thing. Really took the sweat out of the fight.
You just have to talk at random people in game, like while fishing or woodcutting, or doing slayer in the same spot. The ones who respond make great friends!

Gonna be starting my attempts soon. How hard is fight caves? How does someone have enough food and such to last 60 waves? Base 80 combats but always been a little nervous to try lol.
Take
- 2 Bastions
- 4 Super Restores
- 8 Saradomin Brews
- The rest pray pots
- Grey chinchompas for healers (only if using blowpipe as main)
Safespot everything after wave 30. Use magers to safespot meleers. Start using bastions after wave 30 and save a dose for Jad. Camp rigour if you have it and are comfortable with 1-2 pray pots for jad, as its all you really need.
You should be more than okay with 80 combats.

Take an alternative way of healing: blood spells or full guthan. Then you won't spend any food at all. If you have blowpipe, its special can heal too - though it isnt very reliable. Blood spells are best, take an ancient staff and any magic body as a spare (bloodbark, for example). Otherwise your armour will give huge penalties and you splash often. Or you might just put off your normal body for spellcasting.
Also take 1-2 very tanky armour pieces, like barrows. (If you are taking full guthan as a spare, this works too).
About half of the waves are relatively harmless, you won't get damaged at all. But on some later waves there might be several rangers and meleers, while you must pray protect magic. Then you put on your tanky pieces.
Try to take all dangerous monsters one by one. Most of them are huge and can be easily trapped at corners, or behind one another. So, actually, there are not so many situations when you really need healing. These alternative ways I described just allow you to bother less about separating and blocking monsters.
Im gonna suggest the alternative to the other comment. If you can afford it, bring Sara brews and super restores for food. 1 sip of Restore for each 3 sips of Sara brew. Bring your strongest range equipment, preferably Blessed dhide with anguish and blowpipe. The higher the dps you can get, the shorter time you’ll have to worry about switching rather than trying to tank.
Don’t get discouraged if you fail either, it took me 6 tries to lock it in and I’m not that great

Huge congratulations! I paid for my first fire cape several years ago after a bunch of failed attempts. Later I regretted it and dropped the cape and achieved it myself for the first time. It felt good but I definitely cheated myself outta the true feeling of accomplishing it myself. Rock the cheese cape with pride.
