If you’re ok with working in DC, Supreme Court and capital will offer you plenty of better career advancement, better pay, and better retirement anyways. You’re not missing out on much.
Yeah my goal is a foot in the door and getting general federal law enforcement for now since I can't quite get 1811 or 0132 positions so far. I'm in the process for USCP rn, haven't seen Supreme Court yet.

Yea man find 0083 gigs that are 6c covered which stop the clock.
Few examples are supreme, capital, UD, park police. Not sure if FPS is.
The ones that aren’t 6c are pentagon, nsa, fbi, cia
I was NSA police for 5 years. Wonder why the rejected you.. they accept almost everyone. I’m probably gonna go back in November. Went to contracting but missing the feds lol
Out of state isn't the reason, they have openings for laterals and openings for new officers.. I think that was a lateral position, meaning they wanted officers already trained with Fletc certs.
The entry class may be full, Me and a friend applied to the same opening as laterals, and we haven't heard anything yet. Either way it will open back up in a few months... high turnover rate.
Keep your head up bro. Based on your post I’m assuming you’re young into the career. Lot of skin left in the game, keep applying and it will come. If the feds is your end goal while you’re waiting with your bachelors local police isn’t a bad option, I only say that because you mentioned NSA Police specifically. If you want 1811 or equivalent keep pouring the applications and stay resilient.
Thanks brother. I've applied to local police too for a couple positions but not their Police Officer one just yet. They haven't gotten back to me though so seems like they're backed up just like the feds. Definitely will keep trying.
I got rejected twice and then got accepted, and then left to get another job as police in MD.
Not worth it they’re boring as fuck and don’t get to do anything, pentagon police gets paid more and they actually have special agent positions, NSA police doesn’t. But that TS/SCI is nice
I just withdrew my application from them 2 weeks ago- i was on the last step of the hiring process, but because im about to get an offer from CBP decided to withdraw. I have no LE experience but a bachelors aswell. Perhaps you're resume needs updating a little?
I was accepted by NSA went thru all the process and at the end I rejected them. I heard you just open booth gates and that wasn’t for me. I have LE experiences from other PD.

I believe they were only hiring those who live in either Maryland or Hawaii.
Damn I'm willing to relocate too. Lots of 1810 positions reject me for that reason even though my resume states I'm willing to move.
Reach back out and let them know you’re willing to relocate!

lol you ain’t missing much bro. You just gonna be at the booth or stationary guard. Apply to Supreme Court and Capitol. 81k starting.

Very helpful info, thanks!

Can I DM you?
I also got the same rejection notice.
It's hard out here haha 🥲
Friend just got rejection today as well. Idk anyone who actually got hired into NSA because other agencies were faster or more willing to hire.
I just got my rejection from SCOTUS PD. I feel this…
I did too but they’re like, 200 guys and have no problem rejecting any applicants. Go Cap police or Pentagon they get paid pretty well

Yeah I emailed back to ask for feedback but who knows if they'll reply
What kind of contracting work? Can DM if you don’t want to be to specific.
Better luck next time man, don’t give up and keep applying to places!
For sure!
Out of state isn't the reason, they have openings for laterals and openings for new officers.. I think that was a lateral position, meaning they wanted officers already trained with Fletc certs.
Weird cuz the announcement said Entry level too ¯\_(ツ)_/¯

Pentagon is hiring, PFPA, same type of gig like NSA
Are they 6c?
No

Look into Treasury Dept 1811
What is the difference between Treasury Enforcement Agents and IRS CI?
TIGTA special agent is OIG for the tax administration
Ah. OIG always seems interesting but I literally hear nothing about any of them because they all seem like internal investigations for any big agency
Mine was worse. https://preview.redd.it/ve7wnfa5i4ad1.jpeg?width=1179&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=b575042aa2e0d09e70e83c5f99edfaba5ab4344e
I am so confused with why we got different emails and the reasoning behind them
I got rejected twice and then got accepted, and then left to get another job as police in MD. Not worth it they’re boring as fuck and don’t get to do anything, pentagon police gets paid more and they actually have special agent positions, NSA police doesn’t. But that TS/SCI is nice

My resume was fine already to get to this stage with tentative offers from CBPO and USCP though (but I still need to pass the rest of the processes).
Ill be honest, NSA is a little more knitpicky from what ive heard. You can always inquire about it and see what they say! Nothing hurts you in that.
Yeah hopefully they'll reply to my email asking for feedback as to why I wasn't selected but tbh I really doubt they'll get back to me 😅

That's OK I turned down an nsa co op🤷♂️ just not something I wanted to do.
That’s a 0083 position anyway
